Sorry OF. Nothing personal! Saturday exams a killer. Plus lost 10 players up to the B's in the last two weeks. Hopefully back on track this week.

Round 1 we were meant to have a bye. A bunch of guys arranged to go away thinking we were kicking off in Round 2, then you guys entered with a couple of weeks to go and we couldn't muster a team.

All good TC, fully understand. On a positive, was good to have a bigger crowd at an away game to watch the A grade get up at Adelaide Uni

Could you please explain how baiting players with comments such as "Go on say something smart I would love to send you off" is OK or perhaps how telling non EPFC players about your opinion on their playing ability whilst the ball is at the other end of the ground is also OK? FYI - every other club in the division thinks you are a terrible umpire - do us all a favour and go play golf or something on a Saturday instead. The League has been around for 100 years so I think we will cope without you just fine

Disappointing that you have decided to make this a personal attack, poor form I would say (and probably matches my umpiring abilty according to you!) This forum I thought was to express views, invite discussion and incorporate light banter between clubs etc. I am also not afraid to say which club I am with unlike some others. Just to clarify a couple of your comments, i. I haven't umpired every game this season missing two in first nine games and both Masha from BL & T.J from PNU had positive comments about both umpires officiating on the day so this makes your statement of "every other club" not quite correct. Not sure if warning players to keep their continued vitriolic outbursts under control is baiting is right either. Perhaps telling them like it is and keeping them on the field is more preferable to players doing their side a disservice by sitting on the sidelines. After playing a few senior games of footy myself and paying out umpires to the max over the years I appreciate how pent up emotions and frustrations, particularly when losing badly can affect players attitudes towards umpires. All I can say is if my umpiring is not up to the lofty C4 standards you expect I will more than happy to sit on the sidelines and let your umpire control the game next time our sides meet.

Good on ya Wazz, U shouldn't have to come on here and defend yourself mate. You are umpiring C4 and i know EPFC would be thankful they have someone in place and don't have to worry about it from week to week. Keep it up and don't listen to these idiots, Unfortunately part of umpiring is your gunna cop it from time to time. Bet these people whinge and whine about AFL umps too, the best in the land. And we all know they would do the job perfectly f they wern't on the sidelines whinging.....

Well said, we all get angry and frustrated at times and im sure most umpires try to call it how they see it. Sometimes not everything is seen due to your lack of 360o vision of a contest which sometimes players need to remember.

Pffft...you must have mis-quoted me, you were a disgrace :p :D

Umpiring is a hard thing, and easy for people to criticize. I tried it a few weeks ago in our B grade, man was tough to ensure the play flowed, and I umpired as I would expect to be umpired.

You've played a few games?? Your definition must be different to my few :D

You umpiring our game in a few weeks??

Well all I have to say is that if you don't like my opinion than tough luck, you need to harden up. Feel free to sook on the sidelines if you want - perhaps you could spend the time reading the Laws of Australian Football whilst you aren't busy.

Nothing too much to comment on as I dont know all the ins and outs of it, but I know that lack of respect to the coaching staff had one of the coaches pulling his hair out and losing by 20 goals added fuel to the fire..

Not out greatest moment I agree, handled badly by all would be the easiest comment to make on the situation.

Just some teething issue with the new team, *hopefully* wont happen again.

Other than that, was a good day out and the free beer was a nice touch.

Just want to say well done to the Pulteney lads on Saturday, they do have a lack of support staff but are out there trying their best

Their umpire was very good - not sure how often he has done it - he just umpired the game to the best of his abilities and wasn't afraid to admit when he made a mistake

As for our lads and Masha I want to say thank you for letting an old man play his last game with a win and for those interested at one stage the combined age of the Brahma Lodge forward line was 241 years
