Could he see this coming?

Does a midget coach Hope Valley?

He's just vertically challenged ;) I love Uncle Charlie but wasn't the 'Do it for the Jumper' line thrown out when Uncle Charlie was dominating for Broadview back in 1958?

Jugs, some players still play for the jumper and I am very proud that those at the Hope Valley Football Club do just that :D

Correct!

Seriously Riddler, you have done a great job. Getting the right people in the right places is a massive challenge, not to mention the right players all playing for the right reasons. 2 years ago the club was top of Div 7 at the half way mark, but because of injury and lack of depth you failed to make the 5. We at MP are following a similar pattern to Lakes and your guidance and support to me personally has been a godsend. I value our friendship. Perhaps a flag along the way may make you the messiah. Till then

When it comes to the improvement of my club, Mawson Lakes. Geoff deserves the credit for our improvement on-field through great recruiting and an improved gameplan and doing it in a professional way. Off-field though, you have to give credit to the people on the committee who made the call to one, move from the school to Mawson Lakes and two, change the name of the club a year later, without forgetting the history or the fabric of what made our club a great club to be around. Most of the committee who collectively oversaw that transition are no longer involved due to serving their time and letting others step up and have a go. You can not forget these people because without them our club wouldn't be in the position we are in. We are now prospering due to their hard work and tough calls. Thankyou to them.

Three big games for tipsters this week i rekon:

Woody sth V BOS
IF V Houghton
CLG V CU

whats everyone rekon? im going with all the homes sides, after seeing woody sth and BOS in the last two i rate woodville south a bit higher, just a bit more class all over the park.

If the farmers lose this one i rekon they are just about dead certainties to be 0-9 at the turn, its a long way back from there to avoid relegation. Still think they will get up at home though as Houghton's away form is less than desireable.

The lions havent lost at home yet and are in good touch, in saying that CU are due to click and this could be the week. CLG at home should be too strong but it will be tight i rekon. also hoping the rain buggers off in time for ladies day at mortlock park. $35 bucks for the marquee wine nibbles etc. from the start of the b's to the end of the A's BARGAIN!!!

I'd throw the Lockleys v Trinity game in there also as a beauty....in fact you could toss a coin for all 5 games this week.

Woody Sth at home are tough but if the weather stays the way it is Blacks could be a chance. Farmers surely have to lift this week for a win, Phantom how's the vibe and what was training like Tuesday? BFG what are you thinking scheduling Ladies Day v CU? It's obviously a tactical ploy to get them off their game because you know Carey will be in the marquee and not coaching

another master stroke by stephen "mufasa" zweck king of the lions. not only can he pull strings on game day, he schedules club functions on days where he knows that will be advantageous.

should have put lockleys trinity game in there as well. that will be tighter than a nuns........ it will be interesting to see weather voyzey goes to cotter or zorich. probably a better match up for cotter and then maybe put banger on zorich

probably your game v uni is the only one you can pick relatively safely i would think.

Voyzey played forward in the last quarter of our game last week with great effect snagging 3, probably the quickest forward i've seen on the lead this year and looked very dangerous who knows maybe he'll start there again this week but may depend if Sandford plays if so then I see him going to Cotter.

Rain easing zedman. I hope. If they are going to try the fine one, then get a megaphone and do it from the balcony. Might as well be a big one.

Surely if Houghton want to be taken seriously as a threat in this comp they need to start winning away from home?

i agree, im still trying to decide how much input the shape of their ground has on their results or if its just the travel that does them in. last year we beat them by 80 odd points at our home and only just got over the line up there with pretty much the same team. maybe the Q man has a theory?
