Hey Quichey you blokes end up getting back the ex player who went to play for Hummocks before the cut off yesterday?

We managed to get a last minute clearance through yesterday for a guy from the hills league, trained last night and will be unveiled this week.

Word gets out quick....mixture of B's and C's this year I believe due to some politics at the club (selection process) decided he'd had enough, has been B's past couple weeks...tough team to crack into up there.

Yep, had a couple of clearances come through. Also, in the next couple of weeks we may be graced with the return of the DON!!!

We hounded Starry to come back, but no luck.

The DON? Is this Clint?
Honestly had a feeling Starry would have been a last minute inclusion for you guys.

saw the Div 6 lads put together their own 'Team of the Year' and thought it'd be an interesting thing to put up for discussion. would anyone have a crack at it?

also who picks the teams and how is it done? is there a way to improve the selection process?

Clint couldn't even raise enough puff to blow a whistle. Nah, a good mate of mine returned to the track last night.

I thought we could get Starry back too, however, I think he has decided to not play footy for the rest of the year.

Well, rather than try and pick a team each, how about we nominate some of our best players this year from forward, midfield and defence. Might make it a bit easier for those budget writers, if they even read this site at all ;)

It is a bit early though. Those Div 6 lads must really be bored of all the Brahma Lodge talk

the wink is suggestive but i can't quite get my noggin around it....

good idea anyway...

Ovingham
Backs
Lance Long FB
Nick Mudge HBF

Mids
Roger Jurina (could also be a HBF nomination)
Aaron Cooke

Forwards
(considering the current leading goal kicker is a midfielder on 17 i don't think i can nominate anyone)

Not bad. That Cooke fella hasn't played enough games for contention though

I thought that Banner Erick was your best player when we played you guys, a very good rebounding defender. However, he has not played much for you guys.

yeah Erick was good early then injured himself and we're just waiting for him to be right. he's around the club still but not good enough to put the boots on. he plays anywhere really, we had him in the ruck against Nth Pines last time and he's basically a 4th middie which is very handy!

i think Cooke's missed 2 or 3, and he's out this week too! mongrel...

I'd throw in Fenton (Athelstone) and Dodd (Flinders) for possible ruck duties. Ratzmer (Athelstone) has been solid as at full back, who is the full back for Henley?
