We had him against Woody South a few weeks ago and while he would not have changed the result, he is by far the worst we have had this year. To guess at decisions from the Centre Square because you can't get anywhere near the play is just not good enough!

We had that on a couple of occasions yesterday as well where the umpire appeared to be guessing because they were out of position.

Your ruckman Schultz was very good I thought, bit suprised he wasn't named in your best. Very versatile and athletic and covered a lot of ground.

I a lot like Phantom dont like bagging ump's as its like sitting on a rocking horse it passes time but gets you know where! But yesterday in the CLG v CU game were close to the 2 worst ump's i have seen in a very long time 1 umpired from CHB the other CHF and made decisions to suit where they were on the ground.

In the last when the game was hard, tough and obvisouly on the line they blew the whistle for what seemed like somthing to do they were as bad as i've seen both ways. Think the free kick count was 28/27 so did'nt favour one side it was just terrible decisions and wrecked what was a good contest.

On Umps it must be said last weeks B grade umpire was the best i've seen and NO it was'nt rule book! He then did the boundry in the A grade.

I think you find uni improvement in the last couple of weeks is because there runner is having a bigger say in the coaching of the team.

Who's the runner? Might be selling Paul Rhigas a bit short I reckon DJ.

Reckon Paul Rhigas was a Div 1 premiership player and a Div 1 res coach at Uni as well. Maybe he recruited his runner because of respect.

I was not questioning Paul coaching/ playing ability, past or present. i am sure finn will admit to Nathan having a fair say what is going on at Uni. 3rd side.

And I wasn't having a slash at you DJ. Have no doubt Paul is astute and every bit of quality help you can get is a godsend in the C's. Nathan is a quality guy too, so just maybe that is why they are on the up. Make no mistake Uni are a very good club and C's or not they will be there in the end. 8)

Nathan would have less say than you think - Paul likes things his way; Nathan may provide a sounding board and throw the odd suggestion out. It's certainly helped that this year has seen many better players head upwards from lower grades while most of the c grade did a fair bit of pre-season.

Well you blokes had plenty of time in the pre season to sit in front of the computer and flap your gums on how well you were going to go!
We wanted some views last week on the incident at Ingle Farm but it was a very quite week from u blokes apart from Bedgie. Seems you only pop your head on here when something goes well, which isn't often.
I aslo had a laugh reading at what some people had to say about your clubs changes . Hopefully they can move on the drinkers on the hill ripping the club off bar profits each week.

Surely it would get easier playing a low team who got knocked off by a lower ranked side the week before on your home deck??

Sunday morning training at div 6 (or any amateur league grade) is pretty harsh.

Might be a bit harsh at D5, D6 or D7 level, but you would not find too many or indeed any D1 or D2 clubs that don't have ice baths, after game rehab and Sunday morning sessions at a pool or at the beach. Many or at least some D3 clubs would and do also have this as part of their preparation for the next week. Might be time the way Unley Mercedes Jets are going this year, to have a good look around the higher grade clubs (am sure a few lower ones also do it) and how they do it. Might soon be visiting them next year.

Geez your a knob,i'm a former member who doesnt get to games anymore, just wanted an overview on things.Phantom G.. summed it up quite well i believe, you should get down there yourself to see what changes have happened (no-ones been ripping off the club). Most of the IFFC people on here said there would be big improvements, everyone else on here said they were premiers, just to avoid relegation would be a huge improvement. But of course your a know all!!
