Saw most of the second half of the Iggies v Mitcham game at Hunter Park, Iggies surprised me with the score at half time being up by 4-5 goals i think it was, bigger lead then i thought it would be. Iggies looked very fit in the second half, running out the game much better then Mitcham. But it looked like Frinsdorf did his hammy pretty bad. Could he be out for a few games which would be pretty bad for iggies fight for a top 5 spot.

PH looked far more impressive at home saturday. very deserving winners
They have a bloody good forward line with many scoring options.
And little Troy Bennett did a great tagging job for us to. although didnt get much of it himself done the jobs that were asked of him

welfare centrelink scum?? u sure your not making this up scottsman?? if you arent, who or what number said this? and alot of the yelling was also coming from the angel like smosh supporters that went to drink with there mates on the hill!

as for the player you are referering to, I think that the old bloke you had that he was standing was just as bad, surely one of your young guys could come up and play instead of him?? pantelis or someone like that?
he was just as interested in going the biff!!![/quote]

I assure you this is not frabricated. Am not going to give up this guys number so blokes around your club can have a crack at him but put it this way he was one of the few players who could hold his head up high after saturdays game. Played the ball all day and didnt want to get involved in any of the rubbish some of your blokes wanted to dish out. He was actually commenting on why some of your players would have gone down that path considering you had taken to a couple of the top teams previously by just concentrating on playing footy.

X runna no need for the apologies. The only other time Portland can get a win is for the most disgraceful supportors. Never heard songs sung about the opposition before other than when i was in london at the premier league soccer. Actually one of there own A grade players referred to the supportors as " Welfare, centrelink scum ". Was a pretty funny comment to hear from one of there own!!
Also portland people surely you would have had a young fella that could of had a crack at A grade on saturday instead of the bloke who played on the half back flank, short and stocky guy, who only wanted to fight and would have struggled to make an A grade div5 side!!!

I thought you would know better FS, after getting your @rse kicked by what you described as 'a C grader' on Saturday... ;)

The guys on the hill have never sang songs about the opposition before - until Saturday !!! Funny stuff.

Check your facts too about the guy you are referring too. He is a young bloke himself, and did a good job on Tomeo until he let his emotions get the better of him. The black arm bands our guys were wearing were about one of his family members. He came off the ground in the third quarter after giving a 25 metre penalty away, and we didnt put him back on, as his head wasn't right.

For once on Saturday, we actually got our backline matchups pretty right - unfortunately we got smashed in the midfield !!! Very disappointing, as we have been very good in that area over the last few weeks. We were right in it at half time, only 3 points in it i think. We played pretty well, but i also dont think SMOSH showed us any respect early either. They got a spray at half time, and sh!t, did it work !!! 9 goals to zip in the third and game was over. Not a good day at Thunder Park... :(

Poor scotsman, did it hurt you when the people on the hill said that you are spineless and pea hearted, you no what they say though, truth hurts.
im not sure if you noticed scotsman about 15-25% of people on that hill were smosh B/C who were far from angels them selves, also whilst talking about what players were saying severall of your players thought some of the comments from that hill were that funny they actually were laughing and talking between them and saying how funny they were, and you know what i think they all happened to be comments about you.
i alson think you will find the back pocket bloke that you are talking about is only a young lad, 20 years old and that bloke he was standing started the push and shove before the game started and well done to our bloke for standing up to him. on a lighter note smosh west lakes no 7 is a gun nitchatowski or something i believe absolutly cut us to peices

west end ran out at half time of the B grade. i am sure i saw fisty on the hill with a straw and a cruiser.

all shite aside that bloke in the backlines was a disgrace. full marks to portland for dragging in him and not bringing him back on. Agree when portland go at the pill they look like a dangerous side, just a few lads dropped there guard early in the third qtr and we took control. a few mental errors by a few midfielders early in the third gave smosh the momentum and never looked back.

Well done for the portland lads for been very welcoming to there club for a beer. we normally stay longer but we had a club function on that night.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

As i said Schimma, his mind wasnt fully on the job. We actually had no problems with his game until he gave away the 25 metre penalty. Up until then he followed instructions exactly, and Tomeo had little impact, if any.

Major turning point in the 3rd quarter was our young ruckman hitting the ball back into the corridor from a ball-up in SMOSH forward pocket. Hit it to a SMOSH bloke 10 metres in the clear, and a goal resulted. We were holding on by our fingernails at that stage, and that broke the camels back. Flood gates open !!!

Negt generation was good. fits 160 sitting down. we sold out so was a great night for the club. very messy and good to see so many ex st micks people there and plenty of sponsors. Dont ask to many questions about the nights fist a bit of a blur and sunday was a right off

back to footy thought number 7 in the c grade dominated as well as josh in the A grade. thought our backline in the A grade stood up well and did a lot of damage on the rebound. Portland will need to regroup to challenge to stay up in div 3 next year. Good luck with the challenge.

St peters will be favourites at this time of the year fisty.

May be we could all say that the game was great untill half time then it was all smosh. I have learnt pretty well that having a crack at what goes on on the field on this forum is really useless. If it happens then let it stay there and we can talk about other things like the bests and what went wrong etc. I do have to say that you x runna sook and cry about people saying shite on here and thenyou post that. When you get home go straight to the bathroom have a look in the mrror and stay there for a while then you might be able to work iout what sort of person you are. I wont type it in here because i haven't been banned yet and am enjoying all the posts that you say piccacu, felch and myself have waisted our time on. Also scotsman if you arent worried about who knows you or who you know or whatever it was you dribbled out in your last post. Be as graceful as you were in your comments and say who it was that supposedly said these things. As a club we would like to fix any inside anguish that our supporters or players create.
To our supporters credit, yes there was a few P's and Q's thrown. They were also better than other times they have turned up like that group did on the weekend. To the blokes that kept having a go and the others from smosh that say enjoy relegation and have a good year in div4. Didnt smosh choose to come down to div3 rather than staying in div2? Doesnt most of your c grade not want to play b grade because they dont want to train and thats why you have more b graders in that side than you would in the 2's anyway. Have to love sides that puile there blokes in to lesser grades so they can manipulate the rules to there advantage. I mean no disrespect to you schimmer or some of other mates at smosh this is more so directed at a minority that like to throw it out and dont like it dished back. We will do our best to stay in div3. There is still enough footy left in this season to make a change. Say what you like. I know what the club can do and achieve. God i would love to tee off properly but think the banning issue warrants differently

the club decided 2 years ago to play a younger B grade then they had in the past hence why our C grade has some very handy footballers, but if you think the lads that played B grade on the weekend did not deserve a spot then you a way wrong. yes i pick younger lads that train over old lads that dont train, why wouldn't I. We are trying to produce A graders for the future, you cant do that playing C and D grade footy. If this is wrong marbles so be it but its the choosen path by the club. I actually agree with it and ask felch what he thinks as he has done the same in recent weeks. And this does not mean we are not trying to win a premiership in the B grade this year. i think we have a real shot against para hills, st peters and walkerville, yes we could have a better side but i think the young lads have showed there improvement during the year and if we keep doing so we will give it a shake.
