He actually out-marked me on one occasion !!! Im being serious too !!! Im not sure if that says more about his ability, or mine...

Mate Chunky Williams....legend of Walkies. Amazing how he used to swivel pill on end of his stump and have impeccable skill by foot. Great bloke. I reckon he may still trot around in the C grade at the cats. His bro was an angry bugga too!

Thats him ! He was an angry man, thats for sure. He wasn't a fan of PAOC, i remember that. We beat Walkies in a ressies elim final, i think it was 2001, at Norwood Oval. Shocking day, wet and oval was a bog. At the end of the game, he came up to me said 'I dont care what you blokes do, as long as you beat those poofs from PAOC !!!'. I had instant respect for the bloke !!! ;)

We did end up beating the 'poofs' in the prelim, by a couple of points, but got smacked in the GF by SHOC.

A quick summary so far as the tipsters see it....
Some interesting tipping from the 13 people willing to lay their hairy bean bags on the line early in the piece......

PAOC v CBCOC seems to be the game punters think will be the closest with a 9-4 slant towards PAOC in the much publicised battle of the ageing Crow hacks partially under lights/fading sun at Norwood oval
Pooraka appear to be red hot favourites at home against Unley with only 2 people putting blind faith in the Jets to get over the line.
Likewise at the game at the Renown Park mound, 10 tipsters have suggested new kids on the block Golden Grove will upset Fitzroy, only 3 punters going against the hype thrown in GG's direction. Don't discount Fitzroy's experience in the division though...
The other promoted team, Greenacres have overwhelming support with only 1 punter (fool ??) suggesting that the unknown quantity at Adelaide Lutheran will cause a boil over at Yatala oval. Probably a fair assumption...
And finally North Haven looks like they have their work cut out for them against Salisbury West despite hosting the game. Again, 1 delirious tipster has suggested Haven's still have what it takes in a game of many unknowns.

So for the folk who like to back a favourite (and that is 5 of you at this stage...), odds appear on this combo - PAOC, Pooraka, Golden Grove, Greenacres, Salisbury West.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

PAOC are a club with no soul. Imagine having to resort to buying an ageing star to get people to actually rock up to your games. It flies in the face of everything a football club should stand for. Instead of promoting hard work and committment as a group, it promotes playing fly by nighters in pursuit of the mighty dollar. I wouldn't be happy about anyone coming into my team purely for their own benifit.

It has also come to my attention that Greenacres have been slipping under the radar a touch of late

Did we ever get a final word on where Forthy will be playing this year? Ive also heard rumours, albeit from often unreliable sources about the integrity of a key players knee?

Confrim or deny

Roo. I just think it undermines the club that they are sacrificing football for marketing.

Roo was a very good marketer then to allow himself to get through 16 years, 300 games, 2 Premierships and a Brownlow Medal with the Crows...

Not the point mate. Is he committed to PAC, or is he just in it so his pub can make a buck?

I'll discuss this in the division four thread. No need for a new thread just because Nemi is a little upset.
