Will be in full scale deployment don't you worry about that.

How many XXXX's do your guernseys come in?
We've got new ones this year which are based on the AFL skin tight ones, and ahh, fair to say they've caused a few blushes and perhaps some sneaky weight loss sessions.

Just quickly whilst other divs are having major umpiring dilemmas...

the two who umpired our A Grade on the weekend were outstanding. Well done.

Thought the two we had on Saturday were brilliant, probably the best umpired game we've had all year.

Something I've done in my workplace as it would be similar to the amateur league in that I can't have people watching our refs every game is to occasionally stick a $120 go pro on them

It's not for me to then sit back and just criticise them but to go through positioning, discuss the conversation they had with players, review crucial decisions etc etc

I think it's worked really well and most players would agree our standard of reffing has improved and in most cases the refs leave the reviews with further confidence and a better understanding of how I want games refereed

Is a good idea but I don't reckon any of the SAAFL umpires in this division would wear them... They wouldn't want the stuff they say to players on record and evidence of the inconsistent calls they make. Some of the umpires we have had this years have been real smart arses and love the power of being an umpire more that providing a free flowing game of football.

The proposal put forward from the SAAFL on the entry of new clubs entering, has only the D6 premier being promoted.

Stakes just went up a knotch!

One thing is certain, D6 in 2017 promises to be an extremely strong competition, especially with Salis West coming up, and likely Woody South or West Croydon remaining down!

*Edit* - St Pauls 2nd in D7 and 1st in D7R appear like they'll provide healthy competition as well.

If they want the money and want to be part of better competition they will

Not only will their voice be heard but players will have to manage what they say to umpires as well

Its hard enough to get umpire participation numbers up as is without forcing them to wear GoPro's.. Its a good idea in theory but I question its practicality

Trust me I understand the struggles of getting umpires, I run a social competition where we have a bad rep and being a non profitable organisation don't pay that great either.

its all about the sale surely some of these umpires are looking to improve themselves or looking to push through the grades. For their own safety it is also beneficial.

lets just focus on getting cameras on the goal lines for the close calls cameras in the goal posts first

So as they say a week is a long time in footy. With the current league proposal now open material, wouldn't it be a pity if West Croydon went through the season undefeated, albeit with a draw to Trinity, spanked Woody Sth in the 2nd semi and played them again in the GF and lost. They could actually stay in Div 6 again. Interesting last 3 rounds for finals aspirations and relegation, let the games begin.

All that said just looking at the likelihood of Div 6 next year and our travel, think we might tank. :D :D

Geez its a harsh call for only the premiers to be promoted and not the runner up, Div6 is a bloody tough Div, clubs strive to get in the GF to not only Win but to get promoted, most clubs would love to get promoted and go up the grades as this attracts sponsors, players and all sorts of benefits, what is already hard may get even harder..

I am hoping to see a last round victory to mitchell park thats keeps them in div 6 and the whole club celebrating like theyve won another final and then 5 weeks later see them be told that theyll have to unfortunately go down to div 7 due to new clubs entering above them :D

Div 6 only has the premier going up equals 9 teams remain

2 div 5 teams are also coming down equals 11 team now

Then the 2 grand finalists of div 7 will wanna come up too equals 13 teams

So that means the bottom 3 teams of div 6 are being relegated equals 10 teams

# but if paoc make div 7 granny they may choose to stay in div 7 so only 2 div 6 teams need to be relegated

If both SFL teams come in you would have to think so. If only one comes in then it would be two. Presuming West Croydon take out the flag as does Salisbury West then it would be something like this on the current ladder,

Pulteney
Elizabeth
Woody Sth
Ingle Farm
Brahma Lodge
Mawson Lakes
Trinity
Fitzroy
MP or Houghton
Salisbury West

If Brighton vote no then you could add St Pauls to the list if they made the GF and Woody Sth would go up. Much better suited to you and not so exciting for us. :D :D
