FC: care to fill us in on the hv game..the valley demons are not as forward in coming thru with info like the 1st round ! :P

Umm, no not really, plenty of others far more qualified than myself to comment on Saturdays game, all I'll say is I think it was a case of 21 players not being committed for 4 quarters.

Good to meet you to LM, I was happy to see Wanganeen go off in the 2nd, seemed to change the game imho. And when he comes back on he kicks a blinder from the South-Western pocket and that was in the end the winner. CAN PLAY

Doubt it. Need Croucher to kick 15 + goals for to Kookas.

Lets hope you choke on that foot. Agreed. Plympton and arrogance go hand in hand. Two close defeats, the kenilworth boys are out for a scalp and there would be nothing better to take it this week!! cant wait!!

zedman wos were too good on the day. we just had a s**t day skill wise by hand and foot. they will be very good again in 2009 with several good pick ups and not too many losses. think they will make duncs eat his words by seasons end. very even comp and if any side is off the boil any week then they pretty much can expect to lose to any given team. winning home games are going to be crucial to every side. wos 9 pts up 1st qtr. hv 6 pts up 1/2 time . wos 3 gls up lemon time and kicked 5 to 1 in the last. hope that is a short summary that might answer some questions for you zman

Blacks should not be able to play there, its a bloody death trap, i played at st pauls and we couldnt use our ground last year for 8 weeks and it was ten times better than st doms

ty tiger..im sure wos will be a headache for all teams this year as well..i thought u may turn the tables on them after the strong 1st rd victory

LM: i reckon its just to early to know faves till we see them all go around once, but plympton pulteney and bos would be 3/1 at this stage..no offence to others.. ;)

Yeah first loss in a long time. Full credit to WOS, Were a lot more committed and first to the ball. We pulled our fingers out in the last quarter as WOS were 6 goal up at three quart time but didnt deserve to win anyway. Might be a bit of a wake up call for us I think.

I was more getting at the fact HV beat Plympton, Plympton beat Pulteney, WOS beat HV, BOS defeated Rosies in a close one at home and Elizabeth beat WOS. It's too early to determine favourites but there is always going to be odds, no matter how early it is.
Speaking of odds, I see Ablett is already a $2.50 fave for the brownlow, Dal Santo $13, you'd have to be an idiot to back Ablett this early.

Ill back the same except Rosewater to knock WOS by that margin and Smithfield by double.

Rumor has it IF boys are dropping like nine pins, a suspension, and plenty of injuries. Be interesting to see what side takes the field Sat, but going on results i doubt less than 100 pts.
