And the pooraka oval is mint at moment in great condition

It's on an angle though.

I ventured down to Payneham on Saturday for the second half. The oval was in very good condition. I think people are getting bogged down (pardon the pun) in stereotypes of this oval from 10 years ago. It's certainly not the best deck in the heavier months, but at this stage of the year, without a lot it's fine & has a fence. It's certainly better these days than some of the horror stories I used to hear.

Pooraka may be mint, but it doesn't have a fence. Which has been a standard for grand final hosting for the last 3-5 years. Also, it does run in the wrong direction, which can be a nightmare for the second half of the late game.

Not really a Pooraka bash, more a defence of the openly bashed Payneham.

I'd also like to think that Zedman appreciates me looking after his retina's! ;)

Slightly, but the two story clubroom and trees tend to cancel out that effect.

Google earthing PNU has just totally lost me, it made me fall over, it might be because the photo was taken during cricket season.

I thought the footy oval was a bit more east-west than the map looks.

Relative to the current photo on Google Earth it's significantly more East West than the cricket pitch.

Would almost cut a 45 degree angle through the cricket pitch.

C'mon, TOSers! Flog 'em!
Good luck, HT. I keep hearing how much you've put into this year, so hopefully the boys reward you.

TOS should win, done really well to sacrifice their A grade success to strengthen the B grade.. good manipulation of the rules.

I'm sure no one at the club cares or will remember being flogged by 100pts in the semi final in the A grade - as long as they have success in the low grade..
