Pretty sure we played this years premiers on the weekend in SPOC. Very good, even side who just cruised all game. Let us believe that we were a chance early, then kicked 4 goals in 4 minutes in time on of the 1st quarter. Then gave us some false hope again in the second, before kicking another 3-4 in a short period. Very impressive side, and had no Copping or
Botten playing either. Liked the way they went about things, no fuss or taunting and easily the hardest, toughest side we have played.

Any faint hope of staying in D3 gone now for us. 3 games behind, with 5 games to play is an impossible task. We could win all 5 and still fall short. Hopefully we can stuff up some finals aspirations for the teams fighting for 5th spot, seeing we play all them in the coming weeks.

If you can win all your remaining games Felch you guys will definately remain in div3 next year. Unfortunately a couple of close ones went against you early on. Played the top 4 already i think so should be able to fly home.
Good to see Joshy Cakebread back in the lions jumper on sat booting 5 in the 2's and will be a handy inclusion for the lions over the coming weeks.

Still wouldnt be enough unfortunately. Things would have to go extremely pear-shaped for one of the other sides - Mitcham, Scotch, Woody Sth or Iggies. Not a good situation, as we are now relying on other teams mis-fortune.

another eagles lad to play at henley. i did not hear anything. he only played 3 games for us last year. so no biggy on our behalf. i am not suprised he has gone to henley considering all his eagles mates are there and he played juniors out there. Dont think he will play much, think spiro is a touch over footy. the curse of the great coach at eagles

We had a decent crack against Walkerville, always struggled against them match-up wise but we gave it a shake and we were only four goals down at 3/4 time. Ran out of legs towards the end and margin blew out in the last 5-10 minutes when they kicked a few.

Looking forward to heading down to Portland this week.

Just wondering what the Para Hills Guys thought of the umpiring saturday?
It is not an excuse for our loss as we were comprehensively beaten in the middle (#21,#7,#35,#4) and in the forward line (#9,#10)
No excuses at all as we lost to a team that deserves there spot in the top 4
But in my eyes that was the worst umpiring i have seen in a long long time
They were not one sided but just terribly incosistent :?

Thought they were pretty consistent to be honest.........
........consistently bad for both sides. the amount of 25 metre penalties and down the ground decisions in the game was staggering, however saying that i do think para hills had the better side of the umpiring and scotch can feel a bit stiff. for sanfl academy umpires you would have thought the game would have been allowed to flow and some of the minor things let go, but these umpires had blueish green marks around their lips after the game from having the steel whistle in their mouth all day.

good banter from what must have been your b grade (were you involved blueandgold) to to our #9 before half time, he loved it and 5 goals to match!!!

Thought they were consistent. Far too many free kicks awarded,
but paid them all day. I must say we got the better deal though,
we only gave away 4 or 5 25 metre penalties. Scotch were well
into double figures for that stat.

Agree with the other 2 drop kicks..
Umpires were very whistle happy and didnt let the game go on and called absolutely everything..
But having said that they were consistently blowing their whistle all game and i think we adjusted far better then you boys did..

wat were your thoughts on #38 for Para Hills?
How did you think he played?
He finished with 5 goals and in my opinion is a fricken STAR

I will agree that the umpiring was bad, but consistent, im not to sure.
I wasn't part of the minority having a dig at #9, but did find it rather amusing.
I guess when you kick 5 goals and come away witht the win you always seem to have the last laugh.

Being an ex player in the Riverland Hanno, how would this comp rate against the Riverland Football League?
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Round 14

Walkerville over Old Iggies - 8 goals - If Walkerville play 4 qrters of footy it could be an absolute thrashing
Mitcham over Para Hills - 4 goals - both sides in good form recently - PH good at home and Mitcham good travellers. Mitcham in a close one!
SPOC over Scotch - 6 goals - SPOC too good for Scotch, SPOC should be playing in the GF.
Salisbury over Portland -less than 2 goals- to make it Div 4 a certainty for both sides!
SMOSH over Woody South - 12 goals -SMOSH got too much run for W.south who struggled in every part of the game last weekend.

I predict another heart breaking loss for Portland this week. Cementing there place at the bottom of the table and enabling them to start planning there objectives for next year in div 4.
