Is this correct?

It shows that Round 1 shapes up as:

Fitzroy v Rosewater
Lockleys v Mawson Lakes
Ingle Farm v Mitchell Park
Blackfriars v West Croydon
Angle Vale - BYE

Interesting. Looks like they propose to keep the bye in D6. Will they opt for a bye in D7 as well I wonder?

Yeah and so are Central United down to Divvy 7 now?

Basically every grade is available for viewing, even the C1-4 except div 7 - obviously a bit of water to go under the bridge in that grade

The venerable Scott Weekley.

Excellent coach, we are lucky to have him, should in all likelihood be coaching at a higher level. The only thing holding him back there is perhaps a really large network to recruit from.

Yeah to go from 4th in Div 7 to 3rd in Div 6 was a great effort. Hopefully go a step further next year.

Ah right, great to hear. Having not seen a Mitchell Park game at all this year, whats the age mix like in your A's and B's? whats your biggest area of improvement with recruiting next year?
Really mixed bag, our A's were probably the youngest they have been for a decade, with a smattering of older guys. So probably 40%-50% aged between 18 and 21, 25% between 21 and 25 and the rest older. Our B Grade is similar but with a few more older heads maybe. C Grade is as old as the hills. Changes week to week though, there were games where we had a really senior A Grade and young B Grade, generally speaking there was an emphasis on promoting the youth.

Improvement in my opinion (in the A Grade) needs to come in the form of commitment, having such a young group means its sometimes tough to convince them that footy careers can be short and that training on a Tuesday and attendance at the club is more important than the disco or video games. There is plenty of talent there, just needs to be focused.

We also need to recruit again, depending on who stays and leaves we need much more midfield depth and a couple of big bodied but smart defenders. I suspect Nat will follow Luke into the sunset, I doubt Jezza our fullback will go around again and I think Craig Rayson has finished up as well.

B Grade we need another couple of avenues to goal. Might try and coax a few lads out of the cow paddock for that one.

C Grade need a time machine.

Morell, you guys have some really good players, agree with midfield depth, could Harrison become
A midfielder? Spacie going around again?

He played a bit in there, but he's a natural rebounding defender.

Not sure on Spacie, I assume so. He went from last picked in our GF side to probably one of our better players.

Mixture of the aforementioned commitment (due to lots of things) which results in a lack of fitness and then work ethic. Stiffy is probably at the crossroads with his football career, he will either play many years of A grade football or spend it with spuds like me in the magoos. Either or as long as he is happy and enjoying his footy then it's all good.

Unless he plays with some of his mates for CLG at which time I will disown him.

Gold zed, absolute gold. The last time MP went to IF was in 2010 and they won their only game for the year. Bring it on.

Might be the first time for many a year that the Mitchell Park A grade won't have a McDonnell in it.

And I gotta say, not many what you would call free running sides in this div next year. Going to be quite a few bruising encounters.

Hows the coach hunting at Rosewater going? Are they looking for a "high profile" name? Or someone who brings players? Or maybe just local knowledge?

Would think that with their facilities and relatively successful season it would be a pretty attractive place to apply
