Absolutely! And I'll be hitting you all up for a Brown and Gold scarf in that game.

How is Travis Hyde? On Saturday I heard he pinged his calf, hammy and groin! Nobody could get their stories straight.

In all seriousness, having both Houghton and Mitchell Park in a grand final at Thebby is fantastic. Both teams have a strong supporter base and there will be a great atmosphere with a lot of colour about the ground in Saturday.

Both teams play a similar brand of footy, pressure and tackling orientated, it should be a great display of hard finals footy that will draw plenty of neutral observers to the game.

Yeah I like that fact both sides are A grade's. Just means a little bit better atmosphere on the day. If we didn't win it (and in all honesty my expectations have already been well exceeded this year - I was secretly hoping to maybe just make the finals) then Houghton were my next personal choice to take it out. 2 close calls in recent years and a tonne of hard work - you guys deserve any and all success that comes your way.

Maybe you should just cut the cup in half and call it a draw so you don't destroy the obvious love that you have for one another

Would rather Houghton have it than see it cut in half.

How does both Houghton and Mitchell Park feel about the fact only the winner on Saturday will be promoted next season?

That's yet to be conformed and is always subject to change anyway. Personally speaking I wouldn't care if we stayed in D7 provided the schedule and fixture was balanced and better than this year.

Given the current chasm between 6 and 7 I suspect may even a tiny bit relieved (unofficially) ;)

I don't believe that the jump between 7 & 6 will be that big. The jump from 6 to 5 will be more interesting

Nah, the jump from 7 to 6 is still the biggest in the amateur league I reckon.

You go from playing against mostly kick and catch teams to sides with mostly relatively large football budgets in one season.
