He would have to get injured to not kick a ton

needs 5 a game in the last 4, opponents are:
SHOCS away
Adel. Uni @ home
Houghton away
Ovies @ home

hopefully he has his ton before our game otherwise i might play on him and nullify him hey... do you reckon i could do it?!?

Talk it up Nuggety i don't think you've ever manned up :D but im sure you'd be more than welcome to try, it might even unveil another midfield gun for ovies!!!

welcome aboard Pigdog! manning up is what the opposition do!!! i don't have to worry about that!!! and maybe the midfield guns need to come out of the woodwork, maybe the Ovies players need to come out again... you wanna run in the guts Pigdog?!? you can change with me if you like!!!
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

SHOC short on players? only named 20 players in both C's & D's with someone playing twice in C's....does College footy start this week?

Hey BigShow or Giligan, How is Jamie Lambert travelling? Any chance of having a run in the ones this year? Also whats the story with David Kim, two of the better 10% of juniors to play underage footy out there.

Their D Grade did not have a bench last week, and IIRC they only had two on the bench in the C's. You guys will flog them.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!
As a now seasoned umpire (of 3 games) I can say this: The umpire from SHOC is a cheat and an absolute disgrace to the game. He made no effort to disguise the fact that he was only out there to hinder the opposition side and send off as many players as possible (for unbelieveably minor offences, some of which did not even warrant a free kick, letalone a yellow card) I know finding people to umpire is a hard task for every club, but this guy should not be allowed to officiate another game and SHOC should be ashamed for allowing him to umpire the game the way he does. If anyone at that club had any respect for their club, themselves, or the game of football they would front up to him and tell him to umpire the game fairly and give both sides a crack at actually playing a game of footy!
I know this is a difficult topic but SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!

we had one of our best forwards put out for 4 weeks (downgraded from 7 for a previously clean record) for a 'punch in the head 15 seconds after the ball was played' as was told by the Flinders umpire to the tribunal... when it was actually in the contest and it was forearm contact with the side of the head... definately no malice intended, but he's out for the rest of the year!

would love to see the Flinders V SHOCS games..... umpiring would be superb!!!

Its a shame when umpires do everything they possibly can do just to be involved. They ruin what could be a great game of footy just so they dont feel left out. Just curious whether anything can be done about a few certain umpires that are blatant cheats??? Can they get suspended for biased umpiring?

There have been many posts from different club backgrounds about SHOC umpire blatantly cheating. Pathetic and just as bad that the SHOC allow it to continue. There have obviously been complaints made to the league about it but nothing has been done.
So he continues to do it. The fact that he can influence not only the game he is cheating in but also games in the future by his send offs that lead to automatic suspension is simply wrong and shouldn't be allowed. Where is the league - a "paper tiger?" Strangely there has been no support for this "supposed umpire" even from his own club - I guess that says it all -they must be hugely embarrassed.
I await to see comments about SHOC next games as this umpire does his best to get them into the finals. Simply a disgrace.

Fore warned is fore armed and all other club umpires, unfortunately should even up the ledger is the only way if no support from the league to fight fire with fire.

Jamie Lambert has played the last 3 or 4 games in the B grade and has improved in every game. We knew he could play as we also knew him from playing junior footy at the club. Im sure he will get a crack in the A grade soon enough just shaking the cobwebs of and getting use to playing senior footy as I dont think he has before. Was easily the best in the B grade last week.
David Kim injured his thumb a while ago and has not been able to shake it. Came out to training the other week and could not mark the ball at all. Had a massive influence of the back flank in our better games in the middle of the year.

Have to speak up for our (Flinders) umpire here, he can be overenthusiastic but on the whole he's excellent. We complain because he's unbiased towards us.
As for the incident, agree it was forearm but 'twas a tad late...

I would agree Chess, the Flinders umpire is anything but bias toward you guys, a touch quick on the whistle but consistent nevertheless.

must just be us then as both times this year he has hurt us. on the weekend he override certain decisions from the other end of the ground (free kicks to FU) and then not override easier decisions (free kick to us) and his excuse was 'he was too far away' when he was actually closer to the action than when he had overriden previous decisions.

ultimately i play the game and don't allow it to get to me too much but was annoyed at his lack of decisions on our behalf. our umpire just doesn't blow his whistle!!! let's everything go pretty much, even when you get decapitated!!!

Interesting to to note the difference of opinions coming from two people from the same club commenting on the same umpire and game.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.
