Ingle Farm have never gone down - just struggled in div 6 in consecutive years. Should have gone down to div 7 before last season IMO.

My apologies

It was a very different team. The teams we've had the last two years would have wiped the floor with any side we fielded in D7.

so either the quality of div 7 has increased remarkably in the last two years or there is truly a gap between div 6 and 7. mawson lakes will give us a fair idea of how big this gap is i rekon

So BFG after seeing Mawson Lakes on the weekend does it make you now think the gap between Div 6 & 7 has closed significantly?

i think the top of div 7 and div 6 have closed for sure. you guys have proved that this year. One question though, how many blokes have you added to the A's from your Grand final side last year and how many did you lose? I've said before that the difference between a flag in div 7 and the top of div 6 is sometimes only 4-5 players. Obviously Lees has been a big help for you this year.

I spose it also shows just how good SHOCS were last year. Mitchell Park seem to be taking all before them in division 7 this year so it will be interesting next year how they go.
When its a dry track in September the quickest and fittest side will win.
Personally i think your side is geared very well to this division. Your lack of speed in your midfielders is covered by their quick decision making and smart running.

Interesting comments BFG. Only the top end of Div 7 would be near Div 6. Personally I think our team this year would have pushed SHOC and Mawson Lakes in 2011. From SHOC's premiership team 12 or more lads are now playing A's or B's in Div 1 and Div 1 res, so that tells you the quality they had and in any other year Mawson Lakes would have held up the cup. You need to recruit about 5 quality players to go up the ranks IMO unless you get lucky. Let's not forget Woody Sth have come from Div 3 or higher a few years ago and Modbury went from Div 5 to Div 1 five years, so if you lose players and things go pear shaped your demise can be as quick as your rise. Personally I think it is more about the quality of the coach, the players he recruits and the committee who lets the coach concentrate on what he does best. Just an opinion.

with the amount of players that go up and down through the ranks these days whether it be for money, play with mates or because of work commitments,it is nearly impossible to compare year to year
and lets be honest, div 7 is still made up of a lot of c grade teams that can change shape week to week let alone year to year
and div 6 is the staging division of a full tilt to get up to the higher ranks so it is not hard to recruit for that reason so for the same reasons you cant really gauge year to year
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Unless you are Henley or TTG. They are their clubs 2nd set of A grades and not too reliant on ups and downs.

Heard they've had up to 10 of their first choice team unavailable the past few weeks.

last weeks team was missing keast, murphy and brincat, who has been out for a while, but i see most of the other names there..maybe sprint can bring us up to speed? big game against MLFC which could leave them 5-4

there have been many changes over the last 3 weeks but also in the weeks prior to that. i guess it comes down to how crtical those changes are.
35 have played A grade in 8 games, only 4 have played every game. my games matrix that i like to keep track of tells me that against trinity, lockleys and uni we were less exposed.
some of our important players other clubs don't necessarily know of or know much about which is why their absence may not be noticed. however the 21 that are put out there need to get the job done and everyone has there outs.
got over run in the last quarter at the scoring end against united, outclassed in the last 30 minutes against woody south and beaten by a better team against CLG. no need to be hitting the panic button just yet. i'm confident we'll be there when the whips are cracking.

Does anybody bother to read anything properly? It clearly says "reported via investigation", that would indicate to me that the amateur league have decided to take control of the matter after investigating the incidents at ingle farm the other week have identified this player as being involved in a reportable offence

Gee thats a bit touchy PG. It could be read either way, I took it as a club may have asked for an investigation and a result he was reported. Has happened to us like that before.
