Choco wrote:Very poor form by the Mitcham coach not to shake Andy's hand after the game! Sure he might not be a big fan of him probably given his coaching record against him but very ordinary effort!

Andy did say to a few of our boys later on that he actually thought he was a reasonable sort of bloke the Mitcham coach but he certainly is not of that view now. Probably can understand now why some of the Mitcham players are not made of sterner stuff when they have a bloke like that in charge!

All in all a good game of footy with terrible umpiring for both sides. The league really does need to look at the current standard of umpiring, it is very sub-standard... Both sides had their opportunities to win the game but probably a correct post-mortem by others previously that the side that wanted to win more won. The absence of Hardy was a loss for Mitcham but Sulkowski did a reasonable job against a very in-form Perkins.

Interesting final 3 rounds coming up!! ;)

spot on call choco
was a good game of football to watch aswell
as for umpires
surely there is no point slagging them on here!, in the portland mitcham game, they were equally bad, some decisions people on the side line would look at each other in disbelief!
they were young and lets hope they can improve as umpires as they get older!
get on board the thunder train!!!

SMOSH West Lakes v St Peter's OC - SPOC too good, up by 5 goals
Scotch OC v Old Ignatians - close game, but not a great result for Scotch against Salisbury, Iggies by 4 goals away
Mitcham v Salisbury - Hawks in a must win game, Salsibury can't be taken lightly
Portland v Woodville South - whilst it sickens me to the core, Woody South has a tough next couple in PH and Walkies, so go the Thunder!! Up by 4 goals
Para Hills v Walkerville - haven't lost at home I believe, and can give Walkerville something to think about on the home stretch. Up by 2 goals

Hmmm. :-k , Should I be pleased you've tipped us or offended to be thought of as a roughie?

SPOC over SMOSH - 10 goals - SPOC to run all over them and cement themselves at the top.
Scotch over Old Iggies - 1 goals - all depends on the players Scotch have available
Mitcham over Salisbury - 10 goals - The Hawks have to much riding on this game, Elton to bag 5 from BP.
Portland over Woodville South - 2 goals - Loser to be relegated
Walkerville over Para Hills - 5 goals - to sort out the top 4.

they've gone very down hill since mid season - while Portland are playing much better footy than they were earlier in the season. But due to the importance of the game, anything could happen!
