I'm pretty sure those scores are wrong. Angle Vale won by about five goals.

correct. rolled by 5 i think in the end. First and Last quarters were good but the middle let us down. pretty much the 10 mins of footy either side of half time. had a couple of winners but not good enough on the day. ANZAC day clash will be a good one!

probably 2-3 players away from our best 21... fitness could always be improved but we've moved ahead from where we were previously. we were beaten in a few areas.
1. unaccountability, not all but it only takes 3-4 blokes to be a little too loose to hurt you,
2. ruck, they had a young bloke who won the tap 80% of the time and a good structure in the middle,
3. wasteful delivery, not direct enough going forward and
4. AGAIN, not good enough crumbing and pressure in our forward lines.

effectively it was a good tight game, we got caught napping for a short time and it lost us the game. we won the last quarter 6.4 to 4.1 but just need to put 4 quarters together.

Did Ash Walker (5 goals) play mostly forward? Is he one of their indigenous players?

we were ready last week, just couldn't put it together for four quarters. we like playing Nth Pines, there is some personal rivalry between some of the boys plus there are a coupe of ex Pines players with us and vice versa this year. so perfect match for ANZAC day!

The Hot Tip: Ovingham by 4 goals. Spencer 5 goals, Lines 4 goals. Newman 30+ touches BOG

How has Cooke and Newman been going this year?
I rate both quite highly and both have the ability to kick a few goals from midfield!

Cooke had 38 touches (his wife counted and he bragged...) and 2 goals, played in the guts almost all day and Newman was BOG from half back, spent maybe 1 quarter in total in the middle... good show by both...
