Portland not happy with the front page and story on thursday. pres and chairman both phoned porter to tell him to get his facts right before printing the story on the front page that is just not true. thornton left on his own and was not dumped or sacked as porter wrote. had work and family to attend to and appears that 2 + 2 = 147 and up lobs a story on getting sacked. good luck if the thornton was trying to get another coaching gig next year and clubs actaully believe the that as truth. portland were told that the situation would be "fixed" at some stage, but does not help thornton much now does it

What is wrong this week. :( :(

Noticed the 1.8 million page views on top but (what of? though) does not say of the website or the Footy Rag - would have to be the website
As they did not tell us what it was it would have to be the website as no one would "no matter how creative" would come up with a figure like that reading the Rag. If they said 18 reading the rag or 180 that might be different. No need to feed us more numbers that mean nothing or are pure fiction

I don't won't to be fickle, just lazy research errors where they could of checked the results on their own website which would of taken all of 2minutes. Gaza and SMOSH people should pick up on a couple in this edition

Hehe, apparently Mark Chilvers plays for Brahma Lodge now, even though he's wearing a MLFC guernsey :))

Time you guys listened to the CEO on last Friday's 5RPH show and pull your heads in with your negativity - it makes no impact at all. This is the finest publication in the land

Lucky Media Watch haven't found it yet - we'd be known nationally then

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Just picked up on this. Is this the same Thornton that coached at Unley a few years ago ? If the report is incorrect, he should get the SAAFL to retract (it is still there now), esp. the quote from the President !

Good t see one of our sides getting the recognition it derserves in todays Footy News

To quote:

And the best amateur team? Prince Alfred Old Collegians in C3 - 62.06%. That's the Reds' fourth side and their other 3 teams also have a far better strike rate kicking for goal than the Crows.

So you do know we have 4 sides and you did check up on the premiership tables to see the percentages, so you did see D3, D3R, C3 and C6? Do you know C6 is lower then C3 though?

and it gets better:

For the record, PAOC has not lost a game in Div 3, Div 3R and C3 and the C6 side is third with 12 wins and 4 losses.

For the record, the C3 side has lost a game.

I wouldn't be slinging mud at Neil Craig and the use of the word "amateur"

I'm pretty sure our new coach played AFL, be it only a couple games for the Crows, but D wintle should probably be in that list on the front page of the SAAFL News, but really, who can be critical of them for not doing any homework on the subject.
