We had 9 ex-jnrs in rnd 18, plus quite a few ex-Mercedes College which we have a close association with.
Numbers of players is common knowledge between the clubs and is the leagues numbers not whats on club books.

No trouble reading, just thought you would know how many jnr teams you had in that year you were there.

so how do you KNOW they were active? you dont do you? your guessing..it is not common knowledge to remember a figure like that 4 years later, the leagues numbers are provided by the clubs duh..how does that make them active because they are league numbers??? i know for a fact a certain club had 25 players on its book for a certain age group but couldnt supply a team in that grade..it means nothing whos on the books...mercedes college supplies players to at least 2 - 3 clubs in the area not just you guys..you say nine played?..would be interested if you can name them? not saying your wrong just curious

i see you havent dismissed my rendition of the phone call..because you and I know its the truth.. :)

oh and muffler..mitcham also contacted up to 4 lads in the team including my son..requesting they come and train at UHS pre-season..and not in february or march of 2010..in late 2009..

so maybe you better check your own backyard to..
Well then thats what has happened. I just play there. Whatever happens behind the scenes is way out of my control. So how old is your son just curious too.
Thank you Muffler...your a wise unit.
Can imagine a kid or snr player for that matter speaking to his parents or mates about playing footy...
"where are you playing this year?"
"have to change clubs, I've been 'poached'!'
"Ah that's a shame, well I guess its out of our hands now...'

First time i have heard that for a while

Please stop talking crap and about what you know nothing about. League numbers are from the league database, not just given to them by the clubs. Unless a club wanted to artificially inflate their numbers by registering faKe players they would be correct. Unless there is a registered team the numbers don't count. There would be no point in artificially registering players either, I doubt your club has done this.
We are the main club for Merc school leavers (by far).
By any chance did your sons previous club not have a team the following season in that grade?

"not have a team"? whys that?..is the truth coming out now jetters? remember i said in 2009 the contact was made..not february or march 2010..

they may have had 350 names on the books..YOU dont know if they are active..YOU have no idea of that..and couldnt know unless you were at the club..clubs keep names on the books of non playing kids in case they want to play again down the track..thats not revolutionary at all..

where does the league get its player numbers from?..lucky dip?..they get it from the clubs ..sheesh..

It is known at the end of the previous season which teams will be entered into each grade due to roll over numbers.
FFS the leagues numbers come from that years rego's, it has nothing to do with what records the club has.
I am well and truly over this. PM if you want to continue this.

It'd be the first and last time Muffler haha.

who provides the league with the names that then become rego numbers? the clubs..so names on their books become the leagues rego numbers..whoever they say is one of theirs gets registered to them..yes?

"It is known at the end of the previous season which teams will be entered into each grade due to roll over numbers."

and...???? so in september 2009 the league knew every grade every club would have for 2010..please..i have some knowledge of MSJFL and it is hardly that simple, so many things change from sept to april..your club merged with plympton a few years ago in a grade..you telling me the league knew that would happen the year before??

we can drop it if you want..its probably boring everyone to death..

Sorry, can't help myself...
The league already has a list of which teams will be registered in which grade for next year. Of course in can not be confirmed, but it is pretty clear what will happen due to roll over numbers, club and age trends. It will be accurate to probably 2 or 3 sides.
Clubs have already discussed with one an other which teams they will have basically and which they may struggle with.
If you like I can give you the early word on which teams clubs will have for 2011 when we put the draw together. Pretty sure I know whats going on.

clubs must provide full rego sheets details to the league, not just names. Also requires identification, most often a birth certificate, I am pretty sure clubs not fake these. It does not advantage clubs to say they have more numbers than they actually do, more so disadvantages them as only so many can be registered in each age group.

drop it dude..your paddling..i never said anything about faking registrations..you did, so dont try and misconstrue what i said..and im not impressed by your flaunting of some inside knowledge or position..it doesnt make you right and wont..for the last time..the clubs have the players..they give names of players they want registered to the league..the league has a list then..formulated from the clubs data, at the end of the year the names roll over for the new season..the league and especially YOU..dont know what individual players will be active and who wont be until the clubs re-register their active players for that season..so a roll over figure..like the one you originaly quoted is bullsh1t until the clubs confirm it..so stfu..stick a cork in it and drop it..
