Are Trinity stuck in this grade for ever?? They seem to be always around the mark but not quit good enough. Are they happy to be where they are or do people think they are under achieving?? Or are they where they should be? People's thoughts?

Thanks to Zed and the boys from CLG for a great game played in the right spirits. Disappointed that we didn't get the points, but to see the kids play some great footy, gives us some light at the end of the tunnel !!

Once again impressed with the Farmers. They maybe placed 9th but i rate them much higher than that, just happy to get the points today. Knowlesy is doing a great job even if he only has onè foot atm :)

Both teams just slogged it out from start to finish. Farmers will grab some scalps before the season ends.

There's only one sounding like a sook, considering IF only kicked 7 goals!!

Haha mighty either you have me confused with someone else or you didn't watch the game at all. I played in the ruck Nd in my opinion was beaten by the best ruckman in the com in gannel. Pretty sure he didn't kick a goal and also sure I didn't say the officiating was bent towards IF just that it was over officiated.

Gannell definately best ruckman in the comp by a country mile! We are very fortunate at the farm that he is humble and plays for the right reasons, and loves the blokes around the club because he could easily chase cash in a higher div IMO.

Woodville south finally delivered what they have been threatening to deliever since the start of the season. They were up and ready for the contest from the start. An amazing 3rd quarter set up a big win which no doubt will give them a fair bit of confidence.

Like to make one particular mention to A. Johnson for his shut down role of O'Gorman. I felt he really frustrated him today after O'Gorman set up almost everything in the first quarter for the lakers. That was a pivotal match up in the context of the game.

To The Riddler, credit to you mate for what was a fantastic contest played in great spirit. Be interested to hear others opinions in regards to the game and also the umpiring in both the A & B grade?

Mighty Hounds,

I don't see any sooking in his comment, just a mention of whistle happy officiating, no mention of any bias.

I think at the end of the day in regards to umpiring in this div we all need to realise as much as it pisses everyone off , that they arent and never gonna be the best umpires . Sometimes the hardest part as a player is when a decision u think was no way the right 1 goes against u , to get back and forget about it. But reality is we all need to do that.In this div i think u got to treat it like a personal challenge to yourself. Im not backing the umpires up at all here but we need to realise reality because i been reading the same things year in year out about them. 90% of the time the better team on the day will win.

yeah i agree mate, you're never gonna get the best umpires and i do expect them to be bad and i accept that fact. in that game yesterday it was at another level though. maybe they just had an off day as we all do.

IF will scare a few teams in the next 8 weeks though, poor knowlesy was devastated when i went up and shook his hand. wont be long and the farmers will crack a big win though! great of him to come into the rooms and thank us for the game, with him at the helm i rekon they are on the right track as a club.

Woody South have the best A & B grade we've come up against this year and your C grade has improved significantly since Round 2 as well. Our undermanned C's could never get going, the B's were playing catch up after the Cats awesome start and A's were blown away by a devastating 3rd term which the Saints couldn't stop. Thought the umpiring in every grade was great. The A grade pair we've had a few times and Kym Alley and Ronnie would be a couple of the better ones in Div 6.

Cheers to Bomber and boys for coming in for a beer after the match. Would have been easy for them to run home for a hot shower after yesterday's conditions. Was one of the coldest days of footy I've felt for a while :(

I think the umpiring right across the board this year has been criticized by all i just think its a case of over umpiring. I'm sure if they just let the game go a bit more all coaches would be much happier if they just paid the blatant ones and leave the ticky touch ones to the AFL.

I know we at CU take 5 key stats and frees for and against are one of them and twice this year the free kick count in total has been over 60  that is far to many for amateur league football i dont care what anyone says.

There were also 3 reports out of our game saturday that in my opinion were caused by one of the umpires frustrating the hell out of both sides. Well 2 of the reports anyway the 3rd report was for an open palm to the chest that the player got straight up from and openly admitted taken the dive to get the free kick!

hope one of the reports wasnt mr B. Woodward? he's bloody talented but can lose his cool at times. don't know if you blokes could afford to have him out for another few.

The first 2 reports speak for them selfs Zorich for striking and Crosser-white for charging.

The 3rd is Woodward for striking but as posted above it was an open palm to the chest that the player took a dive from to recieve a free kick should he get games for that I fear for where the game of football is heading.

Wasn't there an all in brawl between these two sides last year in the finals? Quite a fierce rivalry now.
