how's the umpire from our game?
Fitzroy down all day, hit the front with 90 seconds to go (thanks to a goal from a certain "web celebrity" on here... ), & their umpire is seen kicking the ground & cursing!

Anyways, it looks like Pultney will keep 5th spot & play us in the Elimination final.

Marbles- the interpretation of the rule is if you go up someon's back & take the mark, all good, if you don't- it's a free.
Probably a hypocritical rule, but that's the way it has been.

cheers punk. I always thought if you didnt touch the ball it was a free against you. Doesnt matter now. It has been said that i am sour about the loss. Absolutely thats what you get when you love your club and what you do out there. To be so close to getting in the 5 and lose its a bit of a bashing. We can still make it. Need to win and have a few things go our way. Optimistic i know but you always need something to hold on to.

Just be good to see what Unley do this week. Will they stack the C grade or just play through. Be just our luck if there is a phorfeit. All we can is hope they change this week and get a win. Im starting to feel like Choco right now.

no disrespect but that is a crock of sh!t, that is not tthe rule at all.
it is an instant free kick if your behind your opponent and and your hand touches there back and also if it is an unrealistic attemp at a mark. it sould never be a free kick if they legally sit on some ones head and drop it.

obviously there not watching enough afl umpires at work.
just using for a couple of examples johncock on the weekend dropped a big mark, michael osborne a few weeks back did the same they were called play on as they were in side of the rules.
people like these d!ck head umpires at amature levell make the boring, by calling these free kicks, people are becoming scared to take a hanger cos if you drop it, its a turnover

Bigger than Woodville oval or thereabouts. Not sure how the surface has held up with the recent weather.

yep club rooms are there with verandah facing the oval and even after the game Pooraka gave us 21 drink tickets for one drink each in the club. I assume they do this weekly.
