So Haven's have stitched up some trials in 2013...I think early organised trials are good. One less thing to worry about once ovals are filled up with that bat ball sport. Maccie in the HFL and Golden Grove. I think they will be great indicators for the lads. Training continues to have a good vibe, Last night the skippers took parts of the night, which was good.

Our trial games agianst Maccesfield and Golden Grove should be some good hitouts and as beeched said, should be some good indicators. Good for the club to get them organised early.

Also last night, Thorno confirmed to the playing group that North Haven great Jake Watts will coach the B grade in 2013. After five(?) years coaching the under 16s and taking over as the A grades playing coach in 2008, it'll be great for the club to have him in a full time senior coaching role.

Very good player and servant of the club. is he keeping the same support team as previous B grade coach???
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

I don't believe Wattsy has officially spoken to Fitzy but the club definitely want him involved again next season, he would leave a big hole in next season's footy trip if he wasn't involved.

DK, what date is the GG trial game set for? Will these trials also include the C & D grades?

Round 1
Para Hills V Woodville South

Kenilworth V Trinity OS
Adelaide Airport Stadium (Thebarton Oval)

Glenunga V North Haven

Adelaide Lutheran V Fitzroy

Elizabeth V West Croydon

Havens and Glenunga have the same round 1 clash as last year

Once again our first and last games are away after being promised this wouldn't happen this season after our ANZAC Day request was moved at the last minute in 2012.

I must say that was one of the strangest phone calls I've had when the council rang me to find out why we were having wrestling at our club, I thought they were taking the piss.

For the record the organisers of this wrestling thing thought they could just drive around pick a facility put it n their flyers and go from there, we have since pointed out that they have to actually get permission from the people who have the long term lease on the building and the council. So I think they are going to have a get together at the club rooms this month and that will sadly be the end of my WWE Promoter career. A shame because all those leotards I have would have come in handy.

I saw the flyer on the bus depot fence last night. If you check out their website, they are still training at north haven, starting 18 Dec. http://thesnakepit.com.au/?page_id=19 at the bottom. I was thinking of coming down and wrestling under the pseudonym of Mr Brutus Beefycake

Pretty sure our trial game against you guys is on the 23rd on March. From what I've been told Hefty it'll be three games, A grade, B grade and C/D grade combined.
