i pretty good game out at park 9 on saturday, Unley are certaily a better team then 1-4 and i reckon they will scare a few teams. they are definalty miles ahead of havens from what i saw the past 2 weeks.
good to see the Reds still kicked 20goals without the Roo and jonboy, i think you'll find all you people who said no Roo no reds that the midfeild has to get the ball to the forwards, and seeing as both Roo and Jon dont leave the forward50 the boys should be shown a little more dues.

on a side note, i know umpire bashing is not needed, but the first 8 goals on saturday 4 too pac 4 to unley were from frees and i reckon 7 of the frees were either wrong or very 50/50...
i know its div 4 and thats the level of umpiring you get but let the game go a bit. was a brilliant first half of footy, and from my veiw unley should be pretty frustrated by the men in orange because they got the hard side of the paddle!

Imagine what the div. 7 is getting then.
I applaud your comment on saying that Unley got stitched, you don't hear that too often (someone defending the other team). Good on you mate. =D>

PAOC were still the better side on the day, but yeah they did get a rough deal. again in saying that the umps made the same decisions (either right or wrong) all day so i suppose you could say the Jets just didnt adapt to the calls

Thats if you get umpires to do the A grade in div 7. Our club umpire is bad enough when he does the B grade its even worse when you see him kill an A grade game.

I thought the yellow card for 2 players bumping into each other on the way back through centre was a classic. Stuff you see every Saturday - no-one was knocked over - just deliberately bumping into each other - 2 x send-offs. Not a murmur in the crowd as everyone picked the jaws up off the ground.

I agree with teaoby, Unley just need to keep their intensity for 4 quarters, and they will have a couple of wins that will surprise people

Interesting one about Unley being way ahead of Haven. I was at Fitzroy v North Haven and I thought Haven were ok. They were hard at it and applied a lot of tackling pressure particularly in the first quarter. They strung some good passages of play together and ended up having 30 shots at goal. One guy....no.22 for Haven is a gun player...dunno his name...Think he was playing half forward and in the ruck....he was very skilfull for a big guy. All in all, they were way better than I thought they would be.

I guess this shows that teams at amateur level can change a lot from one week to the next and hence results can really fluctuate and be hard to pick.

Round 6 tips

CBCOC vs Golen Grove: 32 points to back up last weeks outstanding performance.
Adel. Lutheran vs Pooraka: 37 points, too good at home.
North Haven vs Greenacres: 41 points, might be a lot closer though, North Haven must've lifted a cog last week.
Salisbury West vs PAOC: 10 points, O'B will have Westies firing after the loss to Greenies last week.
Unley vs Fitzroy: 26 points, unley play their home ground pretty well generally.
