momentum is a wonderful thing..when you have it you have to make hay..when you dont have it or you have used your momentum already its very hard to get it back..well done BL..when their turn came they obviously rode it and kept it and CLG couldnt get it back after having it in the first quarter..reminds me of a kangaroos v essendon game a few years ago when kangaroos were leading by 12-13 goals and lost..we see examples every week of this sort of thing..perhaps CLG were to good in the first quarter and got to confident..may have been better to be 5 goals 2 up instead of 9 to 1..would have kept their feet on the ground for the remaining quarters..fantastic comeback though by BL

Just noticed that out of our weekends B grade game, only our player is required to attend the tribunal and the 2 players from West Croydon have somehow avoided the list on the SAAFL website. If this is the case the umpire is a disgrace! #9 and #14 both hitting players from behind (not just little hits either). If the SAAFL won't do anything I hope the West Croydon Football Club takes a look at the two of them and takes some sort of action. The guys I played on and around were top blokes, pitty the 1 or 2 that are there to hit people instead of playing football.

You just have to laugh at big Stubby!! I know we've had some good fun with him in Magoo's Corner once or twice, but jumping the fence to have a crack at him? The Heccies supporter would have wanted to make it his hit count, might have only got one crack at it!!

hey spider in regards to your post about the 2 west croydon players avoiding the tribunal, i think its because your umpire spoke to them after the game and they both took the agreed amount of games decided with your umpire. think it might have been 2 each i was playing at full forward and didnt really see the whole incident just heard that something was organised with the umpire.

I would suggest the supporter may want to have his car running and door open for a quick getaway too...

When will opposition crowds/players learn to either not slegde or simply ignore Stubby?
Firstly, you'll never beat him in a slanging match.
Secondly, it fires him up, makes him focus more and often he plays better.

On the ground invader, it was an unfortunate end to the day. Full credit to Hectorville's Chairman - Steve for his words to our guys after the A Grade game. Clubs can not be totally accountable for spectators but instead of brushing the incident under the carpet he got on the front foot and dealt with it there and then. To be honest, both players that copped it from the goose gave better than they got and it was laughed off. Well done Steve!

I totally agree with morell.
Instead of using this site as a forum to bag everyone else, why not use it to promote your own club and tell everyone about the good things that happen around it.
Every club has its element that aren't angels, i'm sure everyone would agree with that.
To get on here and whinge about others is poor form....and those who do it, they had better make sure their own backyards are in order.

people like the two players from the west croyden game should not be given a chance to make a deal...those are the sort of players that should be rubbed out of our competition completely. they arent hard men of the game they are gutless. hitting players half their size from behind. they ruin the game for their team mates who rock up week in and week out and bust their gut for the team

Totally agree ... but i must say that the West Croydon i seen this year in terms of discipline were much improved compared to previous years. I think they are capable of givin top couple spots a shake, Very tough forward line to contain when they are given good service

Parks two leading goal scorers last year werent playin on saturday so in answer to your question, yes we have other goalkickers in the team. Luke was always going to have a big game on the weekend and nat has always got on the scoreboard wherever he is playing. Mitchell Park havent hit top gear all year so im not surprised to hear people writing them off at this stage considering the results. Im sure some of the hectorville boys on this site who were at the game a couple of weeks ago will tell you Mitchell Park can play.

I think CLG might say the final three quarters were more important then their first on the weekend.

of course but lets face it when a team is 9 or so goals up at quarter time 99 times out of 100 they will win the match. Word back at the club sat night was after being smashed in the first quarter bl just completely went the knuckle after that and clg completely folded allowing bl to just run all over them . Would anyone that was there say that this was a fair assessment??

I played in the game and Knuckle is not a word i would use. I just believe we were a lot harder at the footy and maybe after our quarter time rev up wanted to prove we were not going to lay down. I think we became more desperate and hunted the footy a lot more. I just think the playing group took on the approach that we have got ourselves in a hole now but can we get ourselves out of it. I know i don't ever want to be 9 goals to 1 down again in any match. Also i think payney/azza made some great half time moves that really worked in our favour. Wont happen every week but paid off this week. I think Payney should start with the same centremen thats started after half time on the weekend ;) ;) ;)

That is not the case at all, I believe we were just harder at the ball and possibly as the margin got smaller, it started putting doubts in the CLG players?

If we kicked straighter then it would have been close to being even at half time.
