Question,

How is it remotely possible that Henley can name two players that have been playing Div 1/1R all year and haven't stepped foot in Div 7?

as long as the teams above (a&b) are still playing they can play where they like
If those teams were out of finals they couldnt

Pretty convenient that it happens when their Div 1/1R have got the bye. No doubt those two will be playing in the Div 1R QF next week if they don't get injured.

They need to name player lists for both A's and B's and submit them to the league but this is open to a rort as you can name injured players. However you have to go to the league if you want to make more than 2 changes to the submitted side the following week. The fact that it is 2 players suggests Henley are aware of the rules.

Good. if they feel they need two D1/1R players in order to win a 2nd chance match against us then im happy. I feel sorry for the blokes who are missing out. I know there is a 2nd chance but finals footy is what im here for, I wouldnt miss it for anything

Sorry to add to the storm, but Henley need their own thread so ppl can bash their lack of integrity and disctinct lack of spirit for the game, although they are apparently allowed to do so within the rules. If i were one of the unlucky players to have to play for them for a whole season, and then be one of the unlucky ones to get dropped i wouldnt be impressed, but the Saafl is really the one to blame here, allowing these clubs to do so.

Get over yourselves, the reason those guys are playing in the C's for Henley is simply that they haven't been performing well and if the A's and B's were playing or have a full squad to pick from next week those guys would be playing C's. Think its a little rich just to have a go at a club because they're in a strong position and have talented players being dropped, and thats what it is, they've been DROPPED/OMITTED! Thats how it works when you have teams in higher divisions.

Strange that they've played well enough to stay in the a's or b's for the whole year, to get dropped for the first week of finals, but like you said thats how it works when you have teams in higher divisions....... unfortunately.

gee get off henleys back, you slag them when they win finals and wont go up, now they pick their best sides knowing if they are successful they have to go up to div 6. it will be 22 vs 22 and may the best team win (hopefully houghton for rexy). dont make excuses boys, win and you wont care less who played for them
