I'm backing SMOSH over SPOC. Just have a feeling that a couple of their hard nuts in the middle are proven finals performers and might get them over the line. And I'd just love SPOC to go out in straight sets...

I would be very surprised if Spoc dont get through.

I agree Vintage Red, but SMOSH are capable of giving them a huge scare.

What happened to you blokes ? Rated you guys very highly, can you pin point any reason for the drop off ?

I know this thread has turned into an Iggies love-fest since they won a final ;) , but i just cant fathom how they beat you blokes...twice in 3 weeks !!!

Not sure to be exact, to turn a 10 goal deficeit around in three weeks wasnt going to be easy. Were in a good spot at quarter time but had 2 shocking quarters. Got within 10 points late in the last twice from 5 or 6 down, but couldnt roll them. They just seemed to be switched on, we werent desperate enough or hard working enough.
Wasnt far out with my medal predictions, my picks came 2nd & 3rd, a bit surprised with the winner, thought that Cantwell was their best chance. Kilsby goes around just doing his job, no frills but gets it done.
A bit bemusing though, Nathan Flynn kicks 8.8 from CHF in a winning team against your blokes & takes 22 marks and can only pull 1 vote.
We do give the job to the umpires though, isnt that another story.

I thought Cantwell was a good chance too, and agree with Kilsby as well.

Who did get the votes that day ? It was a strange game of footy i remember, both sides completely dominated 2 quarters each. You would probably think Flynn did enough in the 2 quarters he dominated to get the 3 votes though.

Yeah, i probably would have given Flynn 3, Perko 2. Thachy got carved up early on the wing, but was very good in the last quarter out of the backlines. Would have been thereabouts though.

Haha, i believe you got distracted by comments coming from the Portland coaching box during the first half...you were too busy laughing when you should have been worrying about your player !!! ;)

Good work by the way, coming 3rd in the medal.

Para Chokers, Para Wobbles, twice in three years, no good getting there and not being mentally tough enough to apply yourself!

Could be worse, your mob have had 3 relegations in 4 years. Maybe if you applied yourself a bit more you wouldnt be a big scared lump playing C grade football & D grade cricket. Step up.

Tomorrow's Tips:

Ones:
SPOC over SMOSH by 25 points - too strong. They set up structurally very good.
Igs just over Walkerville by 10 points. Have won 4 of the last 5 at Walkies. Love the smaller ground.

But been touched up big-time twice this year...

A grade -

SPOC to beat SMOSH in a close one, 4 points.
Walkies way too strong for Iggies, 60 points plus

B grade -

Walkies over SPOC, 3 goals
Para Hills to beat old foes Mitcham, 5 goals.

How long did it take you to think of those comments or does your carer help you, hang on, finals 2 years in a row or relegated 2 years in a row. Tough decision you pillow biter.

SPOC by a couple, been the class side for most of the year.
Walkies by 5 goals, we were disappointing last week.

Walkies to make it a double in the magoos and the Hills to keep our season alive.

I went and watched the Igs v Cats game yesterday. Driving there you would think Igs would be a fair chance with the Cats having such a tall line up. At the first break Igs were up but in the last three stanzas Walkies ran over the top. Igs lost by a about 4 goals. It was a terrible at the Rec Ground with all the rain and felt sorry for the players in the 2s as it was heavy rain throughout the whole game. It brought back memories of Anzac Day 2009!
