Is that the same bloke as last year ?

i dont think so..was kim klomp mixed up in there somewhere?..adam is the son of darryl west who coached walkerville and kenilworth and a few others some time ago..

andy: im sure your the first to mention that in his life time :))

Yeah, Klomp was Mitcham's runner. He may have had some kind of assistant coaching role too.

Sounds like he's pretty soft then?

Or it could be the newly acquired thumb in the forehead?

thumb in the forehead can effect many a great player

So can a thumb up the a@#e !

That name rings a bell, you could be right.

You couldnt take Klomp seriously as coach anyway, not with a voice like that. I remember the first time i heard him speak - he was my childhood hero, i loved his toughness and hardness. I was shattered to think that such a tough nut spoke with such a soft, feminine voice.

Definately a case of do what i do, not what i say (or the way i say it !!!)

Good gig to have though, i really rated Mitcham in 07, as far as playing talent goes. They werent far behind the top 2 at all.

Team to beat in 08 IMO.

Caesorwicz caoching Mitcham last year, would've thought he'd stay on with a pretty realistic chance of a premiership this year...

And agreed mypaddock, Shaw was very good against us at both ends last year...

Luke Walsh not going to Seaton?
Seaton's president was blowing his trumpet that Walsh was a certainty.

Must have posted on wrong page-sorry guys, still learning the ropes.
My comment which is somewhere was that there is no egg on Pres' face over Walsh issue-he was only stating what Walsh told several people that he was returning to SRFC.
Possibly only egg on Pres' face is that at beginning of 2007 he stood his ground over wanting Hodges to coach club for next 3-5 years, against majority of committee. With assisstance from Big Al got his way, only for Hodges to jump ship after 1 year

I can't see Luke Walsh back at Seaton unless a)he's seriously sick of the travel or b) they've opened up the cheque book BIGTIME.

From speaking to him, I think he enjoys his footy at Strath...

Not sure what this is doing in the D4 thread, but anyway, Walsh is signed at Bridgewater.

We have been through this whole Hodges thing before, 'jump ship' isnt the correct term IMO.

Well "prb", can't see how he'd have egg on his face over his statement that he'd like Hodges to coach the club for the next 4-5 yrs. most know the health issues involved & that was the reason for him needing the time away, with full support from the club.
As for the majority of the committee that you say were not supportive of his statement i think is a crock of sh!t & you know that.
All committee ive spoken to at the club were all in support of Hodges & the direction he had the club heading.
I think the only ones that wern't in favour were the likes of you & certain people who were backstabbing him at every opportunity cause they couldn't get their own way.
Think before you post "prb", talk about egg on the face!!

A well known player at seaton told me about a verbal altication between the prez & scotty one night.
The prez apparently sat on the fence regarding a tough decision the coach had to make, made purely on team rules enforced by the coach.
The player got dropped from the As as he didn't train, or worse didn't phone the coach, yet expected to play.
He was shattered & spoke to the prez with his parents which led to an altercation with the coach in the club after the game.
Scotty stood his ground, the prez & parents didn't like it, as to the player, so the prez gave the player his A grade match payments for playing B grade.
Talk about undermining the coaches team rules.
Do you know anything about that "prb"???
