Butter would not melt in Jimmy's mouth.

Up until 5 pm yesterday i had TTG the best side in the comp by five goals (as they were last year but for two disastrous quarters in last year's finals.

Clearly PAOC much better than them.

That sucks, but I suppose they would have planned not to have him anyway. Looks like the comfortably accounted for a reasonable Uni side without him

Anyone at the TTG PAC game, how did it unfold? did TTG have an off day?

PAOC rang up a dozen of their old scholars and brought them in for a game on zero points.
It was great to watch Bernie Vince, Jack Trengove, Luke Tapscott, Jack Viney, Sam Day, Ed Lower, Nick Lower, Aaron Francis, George Hewett, Cam Hewett, Riley Bonner and Cam Giles all run around together again.

Not sure a few of those blokes would even make PAOC's starting 21 at the moment

TTG started well. Dominant ruckmen helped them win the majority of clearances in first quarter and half. Gullies couldnt capitalise though. PAOC mids gradually worked themselves into game. Princes up by 7 points at half time. After half time Princes lifted their work rate. They constantly outnumbered Gullies at contests and their ball use was exceptional. Only thing that let them down was goal kicking. They probably should won by more. Make no mistake PAOC are a very very good side.

What's the parking situation at Park 9 when there's a Crows game on? We dodge AFL football for both our trips to Uni/PAOC, but does it cause any issues?

More top quality information from the unnamed PAOC official.

Both players dealt with harshly (but needed to be from the clubs point of view). Jessen no longer at the club.

Someone thinks it's newsworthy....

Ex-Finks bikie and SANFL under-18s player Dylan Jessen dumped by amateur league club amid Anzac Day king-hit claims

April 30, 2016 12:00am
DOUG ROBERTSON - The Advertiser

NOTORIOUS former Finks bikie and SANFL under-18s footballer Dylan Jessen has been dumped by an amateur league club amid claims he king-hit an opposition player on Anzac Day.

Salisbury North coach and former Central District assistant coach Gavin Chaplin said the club “parted ways’’ with Jessen, inset, after Monday’s Division 1 clash with Prince Alfred Old Collegians.

Although no official umpires’ or incident report was received by SA Amateur League officials, a Prince Alfred Old Collegians (PAOC) official told The Advertiser the powerfully-built Jessen “king-hit” one of its players behind the play during the first quarter.

“The ball was in our back pocket, our guy was in our forward pocket ... a long way off the footy and there was a bit of niggle going on,’’ said the official, who did not want to be named. “I looked back around and he (PAOC player) was laying on the ground. That’s not football.”

The official said the PAOC player had a black eye after the game — which PAOC won by 58 points — but would line up for the side today.

The official claimed Jessen, 26, also made crass verbal barrages towards PAOC players that “weren’t appropriate for a football field”.

Chaplin, who knew Jessen at Central District, did not confirm the alleged incident but said he sacked Jessen on Monday for “being undisciplined”.

“I’m all for (giving people) a second opportunity in life ... but they all know with me, my history, they only get one chance and Dylan was a little bit undisciplined last week,’’ he said. “I don’t like the way Dylan plays and I made a call so he’s not going to play with us. I’m the coach, I call the shots.’’

SA Amateur League chief executive John Kernahan confirmed the league had not received an umpires’ report or “incident report’’ from either club. “If something happens either club can lodge an incident report and we will look into it but we didn’t receive anything,’’ he said.

Jessen was a state under-18s footballer under SANFL coach Brenton Phillips and reserves player for Central District and was touted as an AFL draftee in 2008 but missed the cut.

He was imprisoned in 2013 for three years for possessing a loaded, unregistered and defaced .22 calibre handgun.

You'd have to think Head Office would love the prospect of that

As far as I'm aware he has kept out of trouble since being released and I hear training hard. There is nothing wrong with giving a bloke with a history another shot at life. Indeed in my view it's admirable.

Around the courts it's a common view that people in organised sports are far less likely to run foul of the law. The sooner people realise that clubs like Salisbury North provide a valuable service to the community the better.
