should be a cracker of a day! the roys undefeated and the reds with something to prove against a decent team. also will the be the reunion of the 99' (i think) b-grade premiership team which includes some of the clubs most colourful characters! massive day all in all.
also cant wait to see the Roo and jonny waltham in the same forward 50 again. if the reds can get decent supply to them i can see an upset on the cards! although gonna be a tough day no matter what.
lastly someone from the roys, has chad bourke been playing in the guts or up forward?? i know he normally plays on ball but surely he hasnt kicked 27 goals from out the middle?? he may well be the difference
Teaboy, He is a permenant centreman who rests forward sometimes. Can kick the ball 60 metres and straight.
Bourkey's a seagull...
Sounds like he takes after u there Punky as u both are match winners but both known by that name around the Roys...

Salisbury West v Golden Grove
THE TIP - Salisbury West by 40 points
North Haven were well and truly thumped last week by the Dolphins. Never really in the game, the 200 point loss sent reality pulsing through the heart of North Haven. Lead in the ruck by sideshow Bob, who miraculously returned from being stretchered off to be their best, Eagles was supported by veterans Hocking and Summerton. Unley were on the receiving end of a Golden Grove hiding by 8 goals at Golden Grove. The form of Puntureri and Fahey infront of goals the only saving grace for the Jets. They would have gone into the game believing they were a chance. Unfortunately the form that saw them get close to the league front runners early on has now disappeared. North Have are rumored to have star ruckman Jake Watts returning
this week. If this is true, they will be a much tougher side to beat easily. Unley will still be favourite going in, but they would not have won too many across the bridge in recent years. The Jets should get over the line - but only just. Salisbury West ran out easy victors last week against a poor performing home side in Adelaide Lutheran. For Salisbury West, the form of Calyun is a welcomed plus, as he slotted home a big 7 goals. He was well supported by Buss, Coombes and Pascoe as they ran out to an emphatic winning margin. The quiet performance of Derek Newchurch would be sure to have worried the Salisbury West faithfull, if they have him firing they can nearly beat anyone. Golden Grove bounced back well against struggling Unley on their home ground. The 8 goal win keeps them within striking distance of the top 5. They had handy contributions from Hocklas, Ravlich and Boxer all kicking 3 goals each. They will need their best player so far this year to put in another Kuhndt-like performance to have any chance this week. Salisbury West should be too strong at home for the Kookas, although a tough game should be expected. The Kookas though will need to be at their best to have any chance of victory. I am tipping the Tigers will get up easily.

I would have thought GG would need their worst players for that sort of performance......
Golden Grove v Unley
THE TIP - Golden Grove by 45 points
A rampaging Dolphins Line up last week embarrassed
the Kookas; they were beaten in every position. They
are full of young blokes who run all day and they will
take heart from their second half performance. Kuhndt,
who always has a crack, was again in the best players
as were Charlton and Lepka. Golden Grove appear to
struggle up forward to find a focal point for the forward
entries. They will need one to eventuate soon, or the
season may pass them by. Unley find themselves in a
similar predicament as last season, competitive in big
games early but not good enough to get the wins. They
have also lost the games that they would have expected
to win. Good performances from players like Quirk,
Apostolopolous and Chettle were not enough to worry
league-leading Fitzroy. Back at home this week will suit
the Kookas, as they love the wide open spaces, Unley
will need to play direct and use Fahey and Puntureri to
their advantage. Smart money? Home team by plenty.

I think we have a problem with the locals who seem to think their nights are sacrosanct, even though they go out for the night.
We were lucky to to get those lights up. But, yes, good lights thanks to major sponsor; Rob Gerard and Gerard Industries![]()
We seem to play night games at Coopers Stadium - thanks to major sponsor: the Cooper family and Coopers Brewery![]()
I'm on a roll here.......reminds me of Waynes World
I'll raise it with the right people on Saturday and see what the current situation is.
Why were the lights on anyway? Its Wednesday night
