BUT FOR SOME REASON TRUE OR NOT, the final siren blew 45sec too early when the ball was to be thrown in in WS forward 50, right near the behind post. Some confusion and even the umpire agreed it was blown too early!!!
The umpire was going to make an official report about the incident.
The umpiring for that game was average, both umpires made woeful decisions, but i did think that CLG umpire was the worse of the 2!
So that now leaves CLG clear at the top with WS sitting 2nd.
Now onto the A grade, well umpired for most, couple little woeful decisions but you get that. WS lead for most if not all of the day and would get themselves into a comfy lead (5-6 goals) but CLG would always chip away and fight back to within a few points. WS couldnt seem to put CLG away. Cliffford was OUTSTANDING today kicking 8, he gave the CLG DEFENSE A BATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fullback couldnt compete with bomber in the air. Stubby was also very good kicking 5. Harding was good across half back today for WS.

yeah gr8 coverage of the the game you knob - the CLG b's were down by 6 goals and slowly pegged back the lead and hit the front with 2 minutes to go. Woody sth team of old men fell in a hole and didnt deserve to win in the end - the behaviour of your umpire was a disgrace - lose with some dignity!! The A's was a cracking game and probably the better team didnt win in the end - bad kicking is bad footy - ask bomber who the best team they have played this year and he will say CLG!

Can somebody from CLG please stop this idiot from posting after he's had a few sherbets. He's making your club look like a joke week in week out!

He may have some competition from A. Watson from Mawson Lakes, although playing A's the last two weeks won't help Watto's chances.

And Paul Hill from TOS. He has won the last 2 Div 6R medals.

Watto should be back in the B's after yesterday, can't see how he gets a game in the A's in such a good team. And he should lose the tough man tactics too. Having a tatt on your neck doesn't make you any tougher, just makes you look like a dick

Thats funny, when we were at CLG earlier in the year we had a couple of quarters in the A's that were very short. 1 even went for 21 minutes ( we keep our own clock on the bench ). When i asked the timekeeper how come he was very defesive and refused to explain. Not winging or think it effected the game or result, just find it amusing someone else had a timekeeper problem there.

I may be wrong here but I beleive it is a rule that you can also have a timekeeper present in the box during away games. We all know its hard to find volunteers but don't complain if you have the option to solve the issue before it arises.

You shouldn't need to, and not many clubs do for that reason.

Anyway wasn't complaining, BMAC's comment just reminded me of that day and i actually found it quite funny at the time so don't get on your high horses. Thought the idea of this forum is for general chit chat about div 6 footy.

Been a long time since Mawson Lakes had 3 wins on the one day. The C's are hanging onto it's finals chances by a thread, the B's will make it but who knows where and the A's played some of their best footy in the 2nd half yesterday for a very long time.

Many thanks to Half Back Flanker, old farmer and all the Ingle Farm boys for coming in for a beer afterwards and supporting our 'Body Paint' day. Even though the Doggies are our closest neighbour, it was the most amount of opposition players and supporters I've seen our club rooms post match =D> Hope you blokes enjoy your 'Body Paint' photos, and if I get a bit tech savy and the mods allow it, I might give the Div 6 forum readers a view of how good she did look.
We also hope the I/F lad that was knocked out makes a speedy recovery as it looked a nasty fall to the ground and was out instantly.

Also the guy that got knocked out is ok, just a nasty headache now. Thanks to your medical staff for their assistance

High horses? You can discuss things mate no hassles but you were having a minor bitch. I'm just stating it's a rule that majority of clubs don't take up. To be honest it's the only league I know of that doesn't follow this practice like the holy bible.
If it was something any club took seriously i'm sure you can always find someone to sit in the box and delay delay sinking piss for 3 hours.

Was standing with my opponent at full back in the last quarter on the weekend and we were talking about how red hot the umpires were on everything. Very whistle happy. Must have been about 60-70 free kicks. Not long after a Houghton player got a free that he probably shouldn't have about 35m out from goal but that's not the main issue. I was right next to where it happened. A couple of us were a bit disappointed and bemused by it all but no one said anything inappropriate. The next thing a 25m is paid and the Houghton player kicked the goal from the goal square. Immediately I asked who the 25m was against and he said he wasn't sure so I asked the ump what the 25m was for and his response was "I think I heard someone use threatening language against me". If the umpires are paying frees for things they "think" may or may not be there we are all in for some frustrating weeks ahead. (A bit of a generalisation I know and it was only 1 umpire but found it quite amusing)

Heard so many complaints like this over the last few weeks...Too many whistle happy umps going on power trips. I know it's not an easy job and can be fairly unforgiving, bu surely the level of umpiring is quite poor and so inconsistent in this divvy.

I thought Kym had a good game. Ron has had better days, but was under the weather :-??

They were very hot on the HTB though.
