As you're involved with the inner sanctum of St Paul's of course it's all true

You're embarrassing yourself on here Mr M, just do something you are used to and quit now ;)

I'm constantly on your ass anyway

Ok, I'm sick of this whole identity thing - the inn-your-endo ends NOW.

If people want to identify themselves -thats fine. I find that people who identify themselves have nothing to hide and tend to have a lot more respect from other posters.

You seem to have issues with new young, fresh coaches coming through & taking the jobs away from old school people like yourself, why is this?

Are you suggesting the coaches at St Paul's last year didn't give this years coach enough experience or grounding to do the job this year?

I don't reckon I need any tips from you old man ;) but i'll give you one...If you have the RESPECT of your players and the playing group I reckon you'll go alright, if you apply for any gigs in the off season give me a yell and i'll run through how to obtain that.

mr million wrote:Hi ther guys and girls. This reply is to the footy God,on the comment of not making a grand final it is silly to ask where it came from.Perhaps you should ask your coaching staff if this is true, and anyway if you are part of st pauls in anyway and you thought they would not make this years grand final in an easy division well then you are a little bit behind football these days,no paralowie,no mitchell park and again a few c/d grade sides in the div7.Looking at your results last year you were very competative and were finishing the season off well.On the coaching ability I have seen St.Pauls.coach in action when things are going well thats good but when under pressure lacks those moves to win a game, and that comes with experience.I watched the Houghton/Athelstone game on saturday one coach when to defensive and the other made some good moves to win the game.Plus from my info the Houghton coach has got alot of experience behind him.So if you are to reply Mr.Footy God i hope it is in good spirit of the forum,i dont want you to get banned.

Yes im part of Saint Pauls and at no time did any of the coaching staff say we WILL make a Grand Final. Like most clubs obviously this was the goal at the start of the year but there is a difference between setting goals and saying you will definitely achieve something. Although from the looks of your spelling and grammar I wouldn't be surprised if you fail to grasp this concept.

Looking at our results last year??? We were competitive? Surely you’re just trolling?
Last year was one of if not the worst year I’ve seen from Saint Paul’s both on and off the field. The club didn’t even make finals, had a very disappointing 9w/9L record and the players seemed disinterested for various reasons including last years A grade coaching staff.
This year the new coaching staff has completely turned the club around and got it back on its feet. The club finished the season with 14W/4L and made a semi final after winning their first ever finals game since 2003.
So lets get this straight you consider finishing 4th and winning a finals game ‘a bit behind football’ but you consider missing the finals ‘very competitive’
So the SP coach lacks those moves to win a game? Did you read the part where Saint Paul’s finished 14-4? Obviously we’re not going to win every game and if you came to myself or anyone from Saint Paul’s at the beginning of the year and said we would have this type of season after the debacle last year we would take it every day of the week.

If you really have had any involvement with Saint Paul’s you would know that this year has been an amazing success for the club and have put us in a great position to try and go one step further next year. After the failure which was 2008 I think you should be praising the new coaching staff, not having a go at them…..unless of course its some sort of sour grapes?

Nth Pines had our Presentation Night on Saturday and the winners were:

A Grade B&F - Ben Barnes
A Grade R/U - Gary Byrne

Congrats to both, were easily our most consistant for the year and Barnsey had an outstanding year coming 4th in the Association Medal.

B Grade B&F - Scott Walton & Jason Hiscock
B Grade R/U - Jezza Firebrace & David Devries

Congrats to all 4 players. There was only 1 point between the 4.

All players are looking forward to season 2010 and making further improvements on and off the field.

Congrats to Henley and Houghton on making the GF. Should be a cracking game I will be hoping the Raiders get up in a close one.

I take offence to someone calling division 7 easy, we all have to train, we all play to the best of our ability but most of all we love going out there with our mates and having a kick, so we dont need people like you telling us its easy. No paralowie and no mitchell park, so what? its not as if two sides move up a division and no one comes down, and these c/d grade teams also have quality players which can and most have played in higher divisions. At houghton our aim was to finish in the top three since day one, and look where it got us, we didnt come out saying we are going to make the GF. I guess theres nothing wrong with aiming for the stars but you cant prepare for a grand final before the finals start.

Personally I thought St Pauls hugely improved on last year.

The young coach has the full support of his players and you couldnt ask for more than that.

Very unlucky not to be in the GF. With a good young squad Id expect big things in 2010.
