Whats this i hear about Roo not being eligible for finals if and when PAOC make it ? Something about a 6-7 game permit ???

I was told that a few of the other D4 clubs will kick up a stink if he dons a guernsey come finals time.

well even if it is true, hes played 3 and im told will play almost all home games from now + 1maybe 2 away so that gets him to that number of games.

sure the Reds are blessed to have him but as almost all who saw the game said we won it off our half back line and out of the middle.
great day put on but the club 400 odd people, and a bloody good game. hopefully some of the old boys get out more! to home AND AWAY games!

Seriously, this was mentioned to me by someone involved with a D4 club. It doesnt sound right to me. Surely if he is signed to play, he can play whenever he likes. As long as he plays the required amount of games to qualify for finals, then he can play them too.

If PAOC make the finals, he will play. Am i right ?

Just wondering how much power the Match Day Official has.

He was asked, on several ocassions, to remove Kevin Foley from the PAC supporters area but said he didn't have the authority.

Surely they are there to stop supporters deliberately baiting the opposition

I think the Fitzroy official should have dealt with this deliberately trying to enrage opposition supporters is not on. Were there any young blondes for Kevin to get the number of there?

Come to think of it, there were a few standing around in our area - obviously trying to attract the attention of the Past Players. But Foley couldn't compete with Gary Parker

I was going to ask Foley to leave but he had Old Iggies Ralph Bonig backing him up. Anyone who played against Ralph knows he's not a man to mess with

Im not sure if you PAC lads are talking up the influence of roo and puttin very little emphasis on his presence???? But great work Pidge fire up Roo its just what the rest of the comp needs

Last night, I was swilling around some pubs in the eastern suburbs and heard Margatich and Hocking injured their backs on Saturday night at the pub after the game. Probably doing some dolphin backflips in the bar swill........

Hope its true. I'm not usually a fan of seeing Salisbury West knocking off an old scholars side, but I'll make an exception with you blokes, seeing you are just above us
