good luck, and may the BOS team win!

did ya figure out which one i was sprint? i'll give you a hint, i displayed one of the worst acting performances in history yesterday early in the game :P

I think I may have spotted a giraffe. Can't say I saw any bad acting though just a good footy side giving our lads a touch up.

Too good today indeed brodlach. Too many errors and poor decisions under pressure by BOS today. They'll learn from it and move on to next week.

CLG will be tough to beat in the run home to the big dance.

thanks sprint..we still need a few more wins to make sure we play finals as nothing is certain in this division..well done to your B grade yesterday..gave our guys a really good contest..i think your A grade were bit unbalanced without rivett and horsell..happy to get the points..

the umpiring was bizarre from 2 umpires i think are usually ok..13-33 BOS's way..thats a fair inbalance that i find hard to understand and obviously influenced the game some what..we have won the game by 51 points, we must have been first to the ball and contest?? anyway its done now and we move onto this week and another tough game..

haha i took a big dive to get a 25. was one of the more piss poor things ive done in footy! :P

not sure what it was about you blokes yesterday but some of your lads looked a bit uninterested at times? and compared to the game earlier this year i thought it lacked a bit of intensity and feeling.

2 games separate 2nd-6th, huge trip out to Mofflin for us this week. units need to win to keep their slim finals hopes alive. will be massive

I agree that those two are normally pretty good. I find the shorter of the two gets influenced by the crowd comments. He called brad hillman to play on in the third when he was having a shot for goal and he had the ball about 15 seconds. Then in the last qtr two of you set shots at the same end I timed, one if them was 36 seconds from marking to kicking and the other was not much shorter. I cant recall a set shot being called to play on at this level. They dont police the mark or protect the player going for the ball much across all games over the few years we've been in the comp. That's what I find bizarre.

Well no wonder the free kick count was 13 to 31 ( see zed's post) with blokes faking early in the game :)

I loved hearing the old bloke on the outer side yell "he doesn't want it " every time one of our guys went for the ball. That's right up there with 'he's been doin it all day'

Thanks BFG, but the truth of it is that we haven't been good enough. Losing a handful of games under 10 points has hurt us and we only have ourselves to blame. Thanks to Scotty and the Trinity boys as they gave us a good old footy lesson yesterday. Hopefully everyone sticks around as there are some good signs there and hopefully our kids continue to develop. We have 3 games to go and believe me, we will fight it out to the end.

Ingle Farm don't deserve to stay in div 6 and in all honesty I think the close results have only masked the fact that they are still struggling and lack serious depth at the club at the moment.

HBF - you mention the handful of games you lost by low margins, how many have you lost by say 40 pts plus? How many players in your B grade and C grade would you feel comfortable in stepping up through the grades right now?

The Farmers have definately improved, but not by enough to warrant continuation in this div. Perhaps if players hadn't been injured and had been able to field a consistent side each week it may have been different.

Skelton was a let down for the Farmers - big ruckman recruited to support Gannell but his ego was too big and heart too small and left the Bulldogs caught with their pants down.

Lastly, what happens if a side below wants to stay down but the side above wants to go down? Who gets right if way? Use Ingle Farm and TTG as an example..

pretty sure houghton would get the option to stay up (assuming they finish bottom) and then it would go to whoever finished third in div 7.

Cheers HBF. There is not a doubt in my mind that you are on the right track with Ingle Farm. I was quite impressed with some of your young lads who I didn't notice earlier in the season when we played you. They hit the footy hard and weren't afraid to take us on.

Was quite happy with our boys game this week. Still a few areas to work on if we want to be serious contenders. HUGE game vs Lockleys this week. We want to sure up our spot in the 5 and keep pushing for a top 3 spot while I'm sure Lockleys will bring their A game as they would not want to drop 2 games out of the 5 potentially. Should be a cracker!

P.G probably only half a dozen that AT THIS STAGE would be capable of stepping up. Some of these lad have never been taught some of the basic stuff, so this will take time. As for losing games by big margins, like i've said before, the gap between our good and our bad is to far apart. When we are good, there is no doubt we can match it with the best, but when we're bad, we'd struggle against any side.

As for Skelton, personally quite disappointed, was hoping that he would give us a whole lot more than he delivered.

You weren't the only one to have that bizarre feeling about the umpires Zed we had a total of 75 free kicks in our game along with 13 x 25m penalties. To say the game was a tad over officiated is an understatement.

75 wtf..thats insane..makes the game a joke..we had a guy grab a throw in out of the ruck and kick it away and got done for taking the ball out of the ruck..huh? if you grab it and DONT get a kick or handball away its a free but he got it and kicked it away..this from so called "official" umpires..even B grade umpires know that one..

Just on umpiring, they get alot of criticism, some warrented, some not, so I thought I would post something positive towards the orange men. In my opinion we had the best two umpires I have seen all year on Saturday. They umpired extremely well and their communication was excellent. Sam Collela and Brett Mathews great job, wish we could have you umpiring our games every week.

Few huge games this week starting with IF up at Houghton. farmers will be desperate to win to see if they can avoid relegation. could go either way though.

Mawson Lakes v Uni, think uni may have been the first team to knock off the Lakers this year and will hope to again to dispell any further chance of IF finishing 8th. Mawsons probably should get up here.

CU v CLG, another one that could swing either way, we got pantsed by 100+ out there last year and the units need a win to stay in the finals race.

for mine the Game of the round. Bos v WS. if BOS get a few back they are a chance, Hillman is always dangerous up forward but i dont know if the hounds have the tall defenders to cover stubbs and Clifford plus woody sth could reall stretch them and put Ahmed down there also.

Tossers v locks. Locks need a win to stay in touch with the five, should win their last two though playing Houghton and IF. Tossers out there are always tough and should get the win.

only 1 game separating 2nd from 5th. percentage will be key come the end of R18. i think all will agree its been an amazing year of football so far. cant wait for the finals, hopefully im playing and not just watching ;)

Gave us a footy lesson for sure but don't thank them for it HBF ;) . Got a couple of questions for Tosser or anyone from Trinity. Was the large police presence on Saturday because you had a police officer playing or was it an Ingle Farm thing???? Also when i went into your change rooms for a quick slash during the game i noticed a brand new changeroom right next to yours not being used yet opposition teams have to change 500m away in a far inferior changeroom/toilet. Is there a reason for this or is it just a ploy to make it harder for the oppposition?????? Nothing untoward intended here, just curious about these couple of things.

i concur Q!..i have seen those rooms as well old farmer and was puzzled myself..maybe we should stick a toilet in a shed on goodwood rd and make them get changed there? :)

surely when visiting colleges play against trinity college they dont walk/hike from the ladies changerooms hundreds of metres away?? home changerooms must have a visitors room at a college?

Since I'm the only one from Trinity on this forum I'll try to answer the best I can. Not sure about the police presence. Not something I was told about. We regularly have police drive past during games to keep an eye on things but they don't usually hang around like they did on the weekend. I can only assume that the committee may have organised it specifically due to the serious incidents that have happened during the last 2 clashes with Ingle Farm but it was not a discussion I was involved in. With the away changerooms, I know that it was difficult to get STARPLEX (who own the swimming changerooms as part of their complex) to allow us to access the 1 changeroom that we currently use due to the general mess that comes with a footy team, and they were reluctant to allow a mens footy team into the female changerooms due to the fact that some females still access the toilets in there while the footy games are on. Certainly not a deliberate ploy against opposition teams. I realise that the away teams getting changed so far away is a problem but it is the best we can do at the moment.

As for the college teams ... not only do the visiting college teams get changed where the rest of you guys do but even the trinity college teams themselves have changerooms under the main building in front of the soccer pitch probably 30m from your rooms and do not have access to the rooms that we use.

I am not privy to many of the decisions that the committee makes but to the best of my knowledge what I have written above is accurate. Hope this clears a few things up.
