Henley > Thank god they finally moved to Div6 some would say!Houghton Districts> Glad to see that you don’t have go to that oval this year!

Now you got 2 sides to replace Henely is the nightmare just starting for some teams

Modbury>, A grade in Div 2 from Div 1 C grade side won C1 flag 2009 "Are going to be a very good side "
Tea tree Gully> A grade Div 1 good team last year lost GF C1 after a draw the week before with Modbury. "Are going to be as good as Modbury"

Then you got 2 teams coming down from Div 6 normally always do ok?
Central United> Recruiting lots of younger players from Smithfield and few others.
Glenunga> Will do ok in the lower grade struggled in Div 6.

Throw in the mix good teams from last year in Div 7
Athelstone
> Always strong and will be around the mark again for top 4 finish.
Mawson lakes.> Who have recruited very well over the summer and the talk is they want a flag for their newly named club and I guess building for a junior base sides in Mawson lakes is the future of the club."
both will have Modbury& TTG Test them down to the wire just like Henley last year "

It’s going to be a long year for the other 4 clubs unless they can find something special each week

Angle Vale> Loss few players and may have replace them already over the summer. Yet no big movements on recruits in the listings on SAAFL. So things will be harder than last year no easy games this season with Pines or Ovingham gone and would be hoping they also have win against the lower group or risk the chance of picking up the wooden spoon with such poor B grade side to back them up.

SHOC.>May pick up a few new recruits from school leavers or players just dropping back from the higher grades with any luck on their side any new recruits will be a bonus for the club. Will be looking at winning home games against the lower group with away wins so important to them if they don’t want a wooden spoon.

Flinders Uni> They never know with Uni who coming to town have to waited and see they will be hoping to find some real gems next year to take them a little higher than last year 5TH place but with 4 new teams maybe harder than they 1st hoped with no Pines or Ovingham wins will be even harder than last year and they must win the games against the lower group or see the season sink away quicker than last year.

Adelaide Uni>Could be anything in 2010 you just don’t know with Uni depends on if they get serious or just have fun like last year again like Flinders it a waiting game on new students coming to town. I’m sure they would not be looking at grabbing a wooden spoon for their proud clubs history. Let’s hope they get down to picking their best side every week and forget the flag in Div 7 Res this year.

 WOW great summary! =D>
As Quichey said you're going out on a limb here with some bold statements but makes for great reading.

Great call with Adelaide Uni, the sooner they grab there big fish out of that little pond (div 7r) the better off the club will be. . No glory in having your Reserves side smash all before them, go into the rooms after the game and all have a beer then wander out at half time to watch there A grade side get whooped just so they can play with there 'mates'. . Club should be bigger than the individual. . Im sure this has probably been covered before but now Modbury are in Div 7 i finally have a chance to give my opinion on it.

Just wondering if Modbury has any older players that may have played earlier then 2004 at all or if it is mainly younger players.
Have played alot of footy against Modbury over the years and hope to see some faces that I recognise from when I used to play against them back when I was a little younger.

I think you will find Mick Underwood float through the C Grade this season, he coached the B Grade last year but wants to have a kick this year, the rest of the team will be younger with the older blokes in the D Grade.....

Anyone in particular you were lookin forward to catching up with?

Always had good contests with the tall bloke with the beard who played centre half back. But I dont think he plays last time I ran in to him he was umpiring. No one in particular though but always good playing against the older blokes that you havent played against for years.

lol good one Nuggety. Yeah I probably didnt have the best preseason this year and think that I wouldnt mind standing an older bloke. Still enjoy my footy and look forward to facing off against blokes that I have had some good battles with over the years though. Look forward to the Modbury game especially. Good physical team and will be very competitive this year I think

Im not gonna mention a certain player ;) But i think Quichey and FS have got it spot on. they prob dont even check their other sides results in the Sunday Mail, let alone stick around to watch their 'higher' grade.
