Looks like i'm starting to pull away from the pack! Was this close too tipping Greenies on the weekend as I heard on 1197 Friday that PAOC had a s***t load of players out.

since we are making end of year predictions, anyone keen on compiling a 'team of the (half) year'?? I am sure there are a few people who are out there that have a good idea....

Haha, nice try roaring Lion. I admire the way you try to take the focus off of the Roys. I agree with PAOC being one of the teams to beat, but one good win from Pooraka does not make us the team to beat. Fitzroy are going to finish top 2 so they are very much there. CBC cannot be forgotten either. They have handed out a fair few beltings in the previous weeks.
As for the Pooraka Greenacres game on the weekend, a very strong second term of 9 goals to one set-up the victory. Greenacres had some smooth movers through the midfield but probably lacked a bit of polish. The highlight of the game for me was in the last quarter when one of our ruckman Lee Coghill pulled a ball out of the air from a boundary throw in and snapped a goal! He then high fived a couple of our players and the Greenacres ruckman he was rucking against! One of the funniest things i've seen on the footy field!

What bout 2 very good wins from the Bulls there Footy Follower? i still think Pooraka are very classy & 1 of the Teams to beat..
Yes agree with CBCOC in that mix as well as their 2 losses are only by a total of 2 points & they will feature in the top end of finals action..
Cant forget Salisbury West either as OB has them firing, watch out come finals as they have & can matched it with all the Top Teams..
Throw in Fitzroy who have come back to the pack now after 2 heavy losses which they need to put a stop too plus add in an inconcistant PAOC who when at full strength are also very tough side & i think the Top 5 is already set but which order everyone finishes in & which teams grab the double chance is anyone's guess..
Would not write off the Greenacres but their % hurts them & even if they dont make it will have a big say on final posistions & same with Golden Grove are still a slight chance also but need a good run home of at least 7 wins from 9 games.

=D> =D>

There are always going to be people that do nothing but criticise - usually ones that have never achieved and never will, so they dont want others to.

The influx of DJ, Roo, Perrie, Bassett and the SANFL players into the lower grades can do nothing but lift the standard as they encourage the players around, and against, them to work harder.

Only need to read about the Fitzroy player; Nelson, that had to stand Roo - got best player for them and probably played the game of his life. And what a thing to tell your kids. If I was him, I would have got a photo with Roo after the game and stuck it on my mantelpiece

Totally agree jimmy, when we played pultney and our bloke was really lookinnforward to standing peirre, and the croud numbers were gr8, i rekon it is gr8 what DJ and pirerre and bass bring to amatuer league. It was the same last year when trent ormond allen came and played for us.Spoke to Jarman in our triual; game this year and was a good bloke to talk to, very interesting ;)

Round 10 Tips!

Adelaide Lutheran v GREENACRES by 24 pts Doggies to match it with the Dragons but the Acre's sniff a finals berth.
SALISBURY WEST v North Haven by 60 + pts Magpies season will get tougher especially on the Tigers home deck..
Unley v POORAKA by 42 pts Jets wont have enough fire power to stop the red hot form of the rampaging Bull's...
CBCOC v PAOC by 6 pts Dolphins season of close finishes to continue & the Red's with their big guns to playing is Match of the Round but the Princies have too much to play for as they will be knocked out of the Top 5 if they lose this....
Golden Grove v FITZROY by 12 pts Kooka's very hard to beat at home & everyone has said they play well but have just lacked that key target up forward so with Scudds back should help them alot but not enough against the Lions who are looking to get back on the winners list after a couple of heavy loses & do not want to loose 3 in a row.....

Rd 10.
AL v Green
SW v NH
Unley v Poor
CBC v PAC
GG v Fitz

AL losing 7 straight has hurt my tipping! Hopefully we can get our 3rd win of the season and 2nd over Greenies this weekend. Better effort against Jets with new coach on board..
Best team you've played in first round of matches people?
CBC for mine... just from PAC. (Roo played)

Adelaide Lutheran v GREENACRES Doggies will battle hard at the kennel but Acres wil be too much
SALISBURY WEST v North Haven Its a mater of how many goals.
Unley v POORAKA Pooraka on high and cant afford to drop games against the lower teams
CBCOC v PAOC The brothers have around 8 to come back this week probably 4 of those straight into the starting 18. My sources tell me no Roo as well
Golden Grove v FITZROY If he roys drop this one there credibility as a premiership contender will too.
It takes real courage to wear PURPLE!!!!!
