Is this really necessary? You use your first post to bag an opposition's jumper, pretty poor start.

your right its a shocking colour scheme

Lightning McQueen,
You can dress it up any way you want but your club are an absolute disgrace..
The behaviour of your 'supporters' and some of your players yesterday was nothing short of an embarassment to the Smithfield Football Club.
It must be very frustrating to not be good enough at footy to have to resort to thuggery tactics.
One of your players left our bloke with a fractured cheekbone and a broken nose - a truly heroic act laying into a bloke like that!!
And as for the post match incident, another p!ss weak attack from one of your supporters / b graders on our 60 year old president in the car park - well done tough guy! I will not elaborate further as the matter has now been referred to the police.
If you are fair dinkum about changing the perception of your club, you have a hell of a long way to go! Good luck

Dragons,
It seems you dressed it up fairly well for your own club.

My experiences with the new Old Scholars teams in this division hasn't been that great (I've had no problems with Blackfriars, who came up last year, whatsoever). I find it almost amusing (it would be if the topic wasn't so serious) when you start complaining about thuggery tactics... you seem to have no problems dishing out your own rubbish, but when you cop some back, you can't handle it and start complaining. Very hypocritical if you ask me.

I was told one of our players was kicked in the back of the head while he was lying on the ground (this may be true, may not be). In any case, he did receive a hit to the back of the head which is a dog act in anyone's language, he had to go to hospital.

In my opinion, you shouldn't be coming on here acting like your club are a bunch of angels, because from what I saw yesterday it was not the case.

The whole situation is unnecessary, I just want to play and see some good football.

Apart from that, well played yesterday, you deserved the points in both grades.

I agree with you there Quichey, first post is to bag another teams jumper, good work there MadDog. Your jumpers are nothing to bark about, they are vey average.

Mate, the last thing you should be worrying about is our guernseys, try fixing that hazard you call a football oval. Seriously, its got more craters on it than the moon. That is up there with some of the crappers ive played on over the years........

It is impossible to comment without showing bias, but

#1 the king hit was as dirty an incident as i have seen - umpires say they did not see it so no report, but it looked as if your coach dragged the player immediately, then he left in a car at half time? well done to smithfield if this was the case

#2 if what i am hearing about an alleged assualt after the game is correct, then shame on the accused, pretty tough when you punch a 60 year old bloke

i am aware that there are always 2 sided to the story etc etc - normally it is just a few blokes that ruin things for a whole club & i am sure this is the case here as well

Sounds like Smithfield had another weekend to forget. Wasn't it only a couple of weeks ago after one of their supporters threw some punches they were on here saying how hard they've worked to clean up the club? Doesn't sound like much's changed.

it was an enthralling game, very tight and hihgly skilled. alot of pressure applied to plympton by our lads and a very disciplined game plan to not allow them space. bos lead most of day until the last 2-3 minutes and then snatched the levelling goal with about 30 seconds to go. couldn't get the chocolates with the ball depp in forward line in dying seconds.

still scratching my head at how a player can be yellow carded for swearing in frustration when he kicked out on the full having a shot for goal. key forward off for 10 minutes in the middle of the game for doing something that probably every player does druing a game. no other player must have sworn during the game as he was the only one sent off.

I think the letter of the law states that swearing, if audible on the sidelines, warrants a send off. HOWEVER, as an umpire i would not send off a player unless the swearing was actually at me, or if the player was going off like a machine gun with c***'s and f***'s going everywhere!!

Good game this one, i reckon in the end tho Blackfriars lost a point and Pympton gained a point. We really should have lost that one. Great advertisement for the game tho.

Wo's that zippy little bloke with the legs as white as an AMF bowling pin? He burnt the grass he was going so bloody quick! I can understand why he doesn't have a tan, he's too fast for the sun's rays to catch him!

What has happened to my old club Smithfield it seems everytime I log on someone is saying that the club has no disipline and they are thugs. Does the board or coach condone this? or is it beyond there control?
Seems they have lost control that they must fight to get back if it means sacking players then so be it, they must take a strong stance and improve the clubs image

Just on the clash guernsey subject, who decides what is and what isn`t. We had to change our strip against hope valley earlier this year, yet there was no obvious clash. I think this contributed to the loss due to the complete difference between the league provided alternate strip and our regular one. This really needs to be addressed,or the league need to provide the alternate strip earlier so the team can train in the strip to get a feel for it.
Between me and my brother we know everything.

I dont think it contributed at all - it was fine (although ugly) for the first 3.5 quarters - we just ran out of steam...
