So the Glamour Gang are now putting in a media box in their multi million $$$$$ venue?

Wonder how Bruce will enjoy the portaloos out there this weekend

Yeah....we are putting in a media box....... right next to our portaloos, septic tank, transportable huts and mosquito infested lake....

The portaloos and transportable huts were the same thing weren't they?? Either that or our players got changed in the portaloos and p*ssed in your transportable huts!!

 Cant blame you for making that mistake !!

A guess at the ladder after rd 18

1st CBCOC: We have PAC, Fitzroy, Unley, Acres and Pooraka coming which will define our season. Probably blinded a bit because i go for the Brothers but i think we are a good chance for the double and home final
2nd Pooraka: Dependent if they put the same side on the park consistently. Coming off 2 massive wins at a good time of year to gain some much needed momentum.
3rd Sailsbury West: Give them an inch they will take a mile. Close down the runners, play man on man and they are very beatable.
4th Fitzroy: Have been less than convincing the last 2 rds but other than that have showed than can match it with most teams
5th PAC: Very inconsistent but at there (Roo) best very damaging and i think it will come down to % that will get them into the finals
6th Acres: If they do miss out on finals they will be very unlucky. But with a lower % and not much depth they might really struggle come late in the season.
7th Glamour Gang: They were less than impressive when we played them early on in the year. They have dropped too many games, but wont have to worry bout relegation and only have slim chance for finals.
8th Unley: I cant believe it but i think hey will survive another yr in div4 they got the all important win against the dogs.
9th Doggies: I think i will come down to rd 18 to decide who goes to Div5 but Unley have there noses in front at the moment.
10th Haven: have been in Div 4 for a very long time the club still has a few more years of hardwork but will bounce back.

I have seen a few Salisbury West games and have noticed that if the wheather is a touch cold those lads seem to play like a bunch of girls? I guess OB will be hoping this years finals is being played on nice warm days.

Jimmy_041 wrote:Now that we have been through the first round - anyone interested in a competition predicting the final five and bottom two for D4, plus the two Grand Finalists, and eventual winner of D4?

Choccies has to do some work sometimes, so if you do, PM me and I will collate them and post them after Round 16 so the final 2 rounds will have some extra interest.

There will be a scoring system to determine the winner:

+2 points for correct position
+1 point for selection but wrong position
-1 point for selection but not in group (ie) you not only miss out on a point, but you lose one as well
+2 points for correctly picking the two teams playing in the GF
+1 point for picking the Premiership team

So.....I need:

User Name:
Top 5 in order down:
Bottom 2 from 9th to 10th:

No correspondence entered into and no late entries or changes

Due Date: Friday 19th June 2359 hours

First Prize: "A Coupla Jars With Jimmy" interview, for you, or a football person of your choice, printed in D1 Grand Final edition of The Footy Budget

Second Prize: Take your chances in the official SAAFL budget................ but you have to ask them to do it

Limit: First twenty punters

A few spots to go in the competition..............
dedja: Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

we have all seen each other now, I think PAOC and CBCOC are the two standouts, everyone else is on their day. Salisbury west, fitzroy, pooraka, Greenacres can all beat anyone if they bring their game and the opposition isnt quite on. Watch for Golden Grove to win more than they loose for the rest of the year with the big man up forward.

without picking your own club who would everyone else suggest are the best two or most dangerous???

Adelaide Lutheran V Greenacres If the dogs go untra denfensive and congest and ristrict run on of acres it could be a lot closer than people think
Salisbury West V North Haven
Unley V Pooraka Pooraka can make a statement and dish out a flogging
CBCOC V PAC PAC can drop out of the 5 if the loose. But the boys are ready and looking forward to this one. All of a sudden we have a few blokes knockin on door for A grade so some ind have a lot to play for
Golden Grove V Fitzroy Gotta gain some points on the tip ladder.

Yes we have seen all the teams now and without commenting on Pooraka here is my run down so far.

CBCOC: Very well drilled team when we played them. One of the things that stood out for me most was the fact that they were very disciplined in terms of only one or two up for the mark. Always had a lot of crumbers on the ground. Something that I think Jars would have enforced.

PAOC: Other than us, my tip for top spot. Very big side. I noticed every player looked close to 6 foot or bigger. We played them without Roo playing and still got smacked. With Roo could be unstoppable?!

Fitzroy: One thing I think Fitzroy have over some of the other sides is a bit of mungrle in them. Not afraid to push their weight around which does upset some sides. I think the issue with them as they rely to much on a few stand out performers like Bourke, Nelson and Pearce. If you took these guys out I think they would quickly fall down the ladder.

Salisbury West: Good running side. Loads of talent and can prob knock off any side in the comp. Alot more disciplined I must say than I thought they would be but their defensive game is no where near as good as their attacking game.

Greenies: Hard to say. We beat them quite easily but they seem to have knocked off a few good sides. Some good runners at times, but also some ordinary skills at times.

GG: Looked like the U/18's ran out to play us when we took them on in round 4. I think having a focal point up forward will help, but think it is unlikely to turn their season around.

Unley: Seemed competitive in round 1. Normally good at home, and will be a danger game for a lot of sides.

Adelaide Lutheran: Probably lack alot of depth and also seem to be very slow around the ground. Always give a competitive effort so will win a few games in second half of the year. Coaching drama could play on their minds a little.

NH: Very sad to see such a proud club that we have built such a good rivalry with in the past couple of years struggling as much as they are. Division 5 bound next year but hopefully the club can rebuild in the next few years and come back up.
