Surprising such a young club would take on a untried coach but i guess will see at the end of the year if it works.
Good on Angle Vale for giving him the chance to prove himself at senior level.

Think Ross has done good job thus far, didn't see a revolution brewing whilst I was down there. Hopefully for him, with a number of the older players looking to hang up the boots at the end of last season, the younger players are ready to step up and take responsibility for the teams success.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Is the Kersbrook 300 game legend and premiership player lining for up for St Pauls Old Scholars? He'd have to be pushing 40, great bloke and pretty handy footballer.

only a couple of em played out the whole season, couple were struck down by injury i believe only 6-7 rounds in.
would be handy players to keep at the club in div7.

I believe most players will be back on board this year.

There were a quite a few new faces and some much needed height at training on Tuesday. One fellow in particular (called Spider I think) looked like he could play. A few other new talls also looked like they may fill some key positions nicely.

The new playing coach, Bourke, certainly looked all class, though he is shorter than I would have thought for a goal kicking machine!

Hopefully a positive year awaits!!

he kicks all his goals when he is on the ball which makes him so good!
is the biggest pick up of the year AS LONG AS he can find another bloke to work off in the guts.

I spoke to a Fitzroy player today. He told me 5-6 Fitzroy guys are training at Glenunga at the moment - none of them have any intention of playing there though. They are just getting a bit of extra work into themselves before the Lions fire up again in January.

Good to hear.
Even though he was a loose cannon last year (according to previous comments), I think this year he can pull his head in and get the job done for us Mozzies! Very handy down back.

Mawsons FC have had 3 pre season sessions already and all is going well, averaging near on 30 a night with quite a few new faces...I just hope the enthusiasm continues into the new year.
How are the other teams training before xmas travelling? For those who aren't when do you hit the track in 2010?

Well I spoke to one of these Fitzroy guys and he told me that he was fairly sure he would be playing with Glenunga this year......He also said that some of the others were considering it seriously as far as he knew.

Could be a bit of game playing going on here too mate - plenty of that happens this time of the year. I have no connection to either club, so only repeating what i was told.
