Yes a huge loss to Haven. Club will be in a much better position finacially though, they wont have to pay his $250 a game and he will be spending that and more over the bar with him on the sidelines.

Maybe the new coach will pull on the boots and replace him in the goal square.

3rd reco on the same knee? Most just would've counted their losses and hung up the boots by now.

Not sure whether he's determined, or just stupid

Mind you, if he'd had the op when he first did the knee, he'd would've been ready by the break next year I reckon.

this is his second on this knee and one on the other, at 22 it would be very tough to give up the game you have grown up playing and all your mates are still playing, he did it in the trial game at the start of the year and played the rest of the year with it still kicking just shy of 50 goals and missed about 5 or so games. if he was to give up footy now he would be dead by 25 ;)

With the risk of being called sexist, unless u have played the game it is hard to understand why people put their bodies on the line week in week out and keep coming back from serious injury. I guess it's like a hangover, it hurts but we still line up at the bar the very next night!!!!

That ol' line, how original

Because having played competitive netball for 15 years and the worst ankles in the world, I'd have no bloody idea would I?

and having been a trainer for 20 years to stupid blokes like yourself, I understand completely. I know a bloke that's had 2 shoulder reco's, 3 knee reco's and 2 broken scaphoids and even he knew when enough was enough  (and if you count Lucky it's 2 blokes  )
