central united by 71 pts against a disapointing BOS only black mark was young ANDREW BIRD who was taken from the ground by ambulance and being operated on at 7pm tonight , broke both bones in his leg below the knee and a crack in his thigh bone, but it was just a hard one on one font on attack on the ball, nothing sinister.

Good luck to the lad from united who broke his leg today.

Well played by the BOS B grade to get their 2nd win for the year and well done to the United A grade far too good today.

A cracked thigh bone? Far out, did someone jump out of a tree and onto his leg or something? that's the hardest bone in the body to break!

Footy Chicky it was just 2 blokes going at the footy as hard and committed as 2 blokes could. It was just the fact it was a 20meter dash by each player to the ball both at full pace and people who know Birdy will no he is about 5ft 2 or 3 and a small frame just come out worse thats all of a Shin on Shin impact.

I must applaud Blackfriars on the way as the home side they handled the whole situation and the crowd including the bence clapping him in to ambo. Its acts such as this that will long be remembered and respected for a length of time =D> (By me anyway)

On the game itsself well we were as good as i could've hoped for apart from the 8 mins leading up to 3 1/4 time were in 8 mins we let them kick 6 goal 4 when they only kicked 10.8 or somthing like that for the game (I apoligise to everyone who heard my 3 1/4 time address apart from my playing group).

Its fair to say 2 weeks in a row the opposition have not giving a yelp and i mean that and say that in the upmost respect for both sides but I'm sure both coaches would agree.

Mawson lakes didn't help us in anyway going down to CLG but at the end of the day if you rely on other results you dont deserve to be there but i believe we do so we'll focus now on Woodthy Sth and hope Trinity get up and IF.

Woody Sth not being able to lose top spot should rest Skewes, Clifford, Harding and Rayner just dont risk Bomber it aint worth it! ;) :p

4th and 5th spot up for grabs. Pressure now on BOS, they will have to beat ML to play finals and that won't be easy

SMG- Agreed mate but this divison is harder to pick than a broken nose mate. I wouldn't of picked CLG to beat anyone apart from Houghton this week and they turn around and beat Mawson Lakes. Same this week with BOS yet going to script they'll probably come out and belt Mawson Lakes.

BOS started this round 2nd didn't they? and yet they lose this week could miss the 5 then there is lockleys who i think coming in to this week were on a 5 or 6 game losing streak yet win next week could finish 5th!

2 sides could finish on 10 wins and miss out!

Ok to take my mind of the top 5 I'll put my attention to the medal who are people tips? mine are as below who i think SHOULD win it not who will (There is a huge differance);

1. Bartolotti (was beating today but rate him highly and my pick)
2. Wood (Capt. Stands out, Runs all day probably just Evans pulling votes off him)
3. Kennett (Rate him highly but is up against the umpires favourite
4. Skewes (Gun but Harding taking votes late may hurt him)
5. Evans ( Standout in an even side will share votes with Wood in there wins)
6. Stormonth (Eye Cathing wingmen with Dreds)
7. Gannell (Clear stand out in a bottom few side Lynch may take a few off him probably didnt win enough)
8. Gergiou (In and under umpires love them)
9. Horsell ( Give him room he kills you missed a month)
10. Vozey (Big runs from defence has gone forward with succuss)
11. Spurr (Hard runner will poll in there wins)
12. O'Gorman ( will finish higher but IMO shouldn't be top 10)
13. Rayner (Tagged every week)

Not enough games

Harding (but will poll in the ones he played)
Barclay (A rock down back missed 7 with injury)
Davis ( Clear standout missed games and they were poo)
Clifford (Missed a heap)
Lynch (injured)
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Ohh thats right you were probably whinging all day to the umpires that you seem to be very good at. Theres always an excuse with you when CLG lose. Maybe worry about your own back yard your not safe in the 5 yet.

What happened your lad didn't get a kick? Would be interesting if Central United did start playing the ball as they've pants your mob twice this year you idiot.

How Zed puts up with your constant dribble on here crying, screaming and yelling from the coaches box amazes me it almost seems you undo all his work

Good job buckley - you know me, my lad and zed and you are from port district? Hiding behind a computer are we? I promised zed i wouldnt respond to your dribble but come out of your closet you pathetic loser. i stick up for my club cause i happenend to win 2 premierships with them and my lad was a 100 game junior with them. You however seem to be hiding where you are from. We went back to them cause it is a great club. I didnt say anything against CU that dutchy wouldnt agree with - if woodward hadnt missed 5 games through suspension they might be in a better position than they are in - i did say in earlier posts that woodward was the best player in the league. Good luck to all teams in the last round - anything can happen in this very good league!

I'm sure all IFers will be hoping for a win this week and will be cheering for a HDFC win over Uni, a mini GF of sorts between IF and Lockleys.

Postby TOSSER » Sun Aug 12, 2012 4:05 pm

This weeks games:

Central United vs Woody South
CLG vs TOS
ML vs BOS
IF vs Lockleys
Houghton vs Adelaide Uni

So with 1 round to go let's have a look at where the finals contenders could finish:

Woody South - 1st

TOS - 2nd or 3rd

ML - 2nd, 3rd or 4th

CLG - 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th (probably only a 1% chance of this happening)

BOS - 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th

Lockleys - 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th

Central United - 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th

Obviously some of these positions are highly unlikely but still possible. Unbelievably close competition that has already produced some amazing results throughout the season. I get the feeling that the final round is going to produce more of the same. Good Luck to all!
