I think to prove how close this comp is all you need to do is look at round 18...try picking 5 winners

Certainly a massive game for us. We have proven to be a much better side at home. Both clubs have so much to win and so much to lose, so it should be an absolute cracker!!!!

As for yesterday's performance, skill errors and poor decision making cost you dearly when your playing a class outfit like Woody South. One thing I will say is, at least we battled hard for the whole four quarters, and gave them a true hit out. It never looked like a 1st V 9th game all day yesterday. Thanks to Bomber and the boys for the jugs after the game, and it was good to hang around and have a chat with someone with a different perspective to where we are at. It's encouraging to hear other people's comments and whatever happens by 4:30 next Saturday, we would've left no stone unturned. That I can assure you !!!

TOSSER wrote:This weeks games:

Central United vs Woody South
CLG vs TOS
ML vs BOS
IF vs Lockleys
Houghton vs Adelaide Uni

So with 1 round to go let's have a look at where the finals contenders could finish:

Woody South - 1st

TOS - 2nd or 3rd

ML - 2nd, 3rd or 4th

CLG - 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th (probably only a 1% chance of this happening)

BOS - 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th

Lockleys - 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th

Central United - 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th

Obviously some of these positions are highly unlikely but still possible. Unbelievably close competition that has already produced some amazing results throughout the season. I get the feeling that the final round is going to produce more of the same. Good Luck to all!

Not to mention Tosser, but IF all the home teams win then Adelaide Uni get relegated. Wow. IF being the word.

good game of footy at mortlock park last saturday..both teams were in an arm wrestle most of the day but we got a break before half time and managed to hold onto it for the rest of the day..very proud of the boys to bounce back after last weeks poor performance and to show that that is not what we are about as a club..well umpired again by 2 guys i regard as the best in the division..frees F17-A20..shocking news that our mate BFG dislocated his shoulder late in the last quarter.. terrible luck for the big giraffe..will be sorely missed..

congrats to our B grade who took out the minor premiership saturday..a great reward to kosta and his boys who have had a great year and have basically gone along unnoticed by everyone..

no idea what this week will bring with results..i do know if we win we dont have to worry about what anyone else is doing..so thats what we will focus on..well done to dutchy and the units continuing their blazing form..they were red hot against us and have carried that form into the blackfriars game..

haha well played FC! out for 6 weeks will be shit but hopefully the boys can make a run in the finals.

will be an amazing last round where the only position 100% stitched up is top and bottom.

A cracked thigh bone? Far out, did someone jump out of a tree and onto his leg or something? that's the hardest bone in the body to break!

Footy Chicky it was just 2 blokes going at the footy as hard and committed as 2 blokes could. It was just the fact it was a 20meter dash by each player to the ball both at full pace and people who know Birdy will no he is about 5ft 2 or 3 and a small frame just come out worse thats all of a Shin on Shin impact.

I must applaud Blackfriars on the way as the home side they handled the whole situation and the crowd including the bence clapping him in to ambo. Its acts such as this that will long be remembered and respected for a length of time =D> (By me anyway)

On the game itsself well we were as good as i could've hoped for apart from the 8 mins leading up to 3 1/4 time were in 8 mins we let them kick 6 goal 4 when they only kicked 10.8 or somthing like that for the game (I apoligise to everyone who heard my 3 1/4 time address apart from my playing group).

Its fair to say 2 weeks in a row the opposition have not giving a yelp and i mean that and say that in the upmost respect for both sides but I'm sure both coaches would agree.

Mawson lakes didn't help us in anyway going down to CLG but at the end of the day if you rely on other results you dont deserve to be there but i believe we do so we'll focus now on Woodthy Sth and hope Trinity get up and IF.

Woody Sth not being able to lose top spot should rest Skewes, Clifford, Harding and Rayner just dont risk Bomber it aint worth it! ;) :p

A fair spray indeed at 3/4 time. The first sentence seemed to be missing words such as 'and' and 'the', but the point was made. It was very quite on the sideline at that time which made it carry a bit. :) Believe they were told the same thing at 3/4 time when BOS played them out at United in round 8.

How do you describe an 'opposition not giving a yelp'? Not sure that was the case on Saturday in my opinion, i just thought one team played better and did not allow the other team to play well. BOS were on the back foot right from the start. Not giving a yelp says to me they didn't care / gave up / played soft.

Over the second half of the year i believe CU are the best side i've seen play closely followed by CLG two weeks back.

get better BFG, was thinking of watching the CLG boys when they make the finals and give you some abuse from the sidelines.

Are you seriously blaming the drive back as the reason u dont mingle with the other team?

spoke to the riddler for 10 minutes after the game and he couldnt hang around for a drink and no problem there whatsoever, we all have lives and different priorities..didnt see any other mozzies upstairs..is this just a winning/losing thing?..is it that hard to just have one beer?!!

Good fortune to all in Div 6 this saturday. Some massive games and there's gunna be some tears by 5pm. To those I have had some good contact with this year, Riddler, a chance for a home final, Zedman, a top 3 spot, Dutchy, a miracle entry in to the 5, and Knowlsey what a good job you have done with a tough club. Hope you all get the result you want. :)
