Congratulations to Ash 'The Cougar' MacDonald who will play his 400th Senior Game (319 at Kersbrook, 81 at MLFC) of Football for Mawson Lakes Football Club on Saturday in the C Grade. The man with the golden locks has been fantastic for our footy club both on and off the field since he came across a few years ago and I know everyone at MLFC wish him well on this unbelievable achievement.

Very, very hard to pick one and good luck to those who have to.

FF: B.Lees (ML) A.Clifford (WS) P.Hall (CU)

HF: E.Wood (CLG) L.Davis (HDFC) I.Novosel (ML)

C: T.Evans (CLG) R.O'Gorman (ML) B.Woodward (CU)

HB: W.Hall (TOS) M.Brincat (BOS) J.Harding (WS)

FB: M.Draper (ML) D.Voyzey (LFC) M.Barclay (CU)

Ruck: S.Gannell (IF) S.Skewes (WS) N.Rayner (WS)

Bench: H.Georgiou (LFC) L.Bortolotti (BOS) C.Schutz (HDFC) C.Spurr (TOS)

Unlucky:
- T.Smits (I think deserves to be in there has been outstanding and will go close to our B&F but didn't want people to say i'm biase and only pick MLFC players)
- B.Reidy (refer Smits)
- S.Stormonth (shows glimpses but I personally haven't seen his best against us)
- T.Mcgowan (massively unlucky, I rate this bloke highly and prob deserves to be in gets in the best nearly every game for CLG)
- T.Hillman, B.Hillman, J.Stubberfield, A.Cotter (All have kicked a lot of goals, very stiff)

Reasoning:
- Forwards pick themselves if you ask me. Wood adds flexability can play fwd, back, and mid so gets the nod over hillmans, stubberfield etc.
- No standout wingman in this comp to me and with so many gun midfielders I pushed 2 out to he wings who could play there easily. Stormonth I've only see play 5 minutes of really good footy and can see he could tear a game apart but Evans & Woody need to be in there.
- Hall from Trinity and Harding are 2 of the best running HBF's in the comp. Draper & Barclay the best shut down BP's in the comp on a consistency level, I know Barclay has missed games through injury but i've never seen this guy beaten ever over the years.
- Ruck is simple. Love him, hate him or bad mouth him all you want but O'gorman racks up touches at will and if teams don't rate him why do they tag him every week? Skewes and Rayner are guns.
- Shutz is the 2nd best ruckman in the comp and mobile round the ground. Georgiou, Bortolotti & Spurr could easily start in this team and all of them are goalkicking midfielders which are very dangerous.

I look forward to getting abused and shot down for having my opinion ;)

Bloody good job Riddler. Wouldn't mind coaching that team! I wouldn't have Hall (TOS variety) in here though. He may have played well against you guys but has not played consistent enough footy to deserve the honours. I know that 2 players that ran well from half back when we played them were Naylor (IF) and Porter (CU). From our team I would nominate our CHB/HBF and Captain Sam Peters. Looks gangly and awkward but has rarely been beaten all year and never holds back at any contest. May not have the skills but has the heart and ruthlessness that you want from a backman.

Very good effort. Thats why your the most loved coach, Person, member of the public and football personality of the year.

Not sure there should be a 2nd ruckman in the side. I believe Mark Garner on the bench is a much better fit.

I would also swap Hall (Trin) with Porter from (CU) as Tosser mentioned.

Naylor very stiff not to be in.

Has Harding played enough games?

Bartolotti very stiff not to be in the midfield (my pick for the medal) put i also understand you cant fit them all in.

Jeebus, played 'spot the blade of grass' at HDFC tonight

Gonna be a boghole, hope the uni lads pack don't forget to pack their wellies. Reckon the last three years running the heavens have opened bigtime for R18.

Woody South - No Clifford, Rayner or Harding. Central United are always tough to beat at home but these outs will certainly help a bit you would think. Can fully understand why you would rest these lads with top spot already locked in. Will be interesting to see how it pans out. Good luck to all this week (except CLG - no offence Z)

Must not have paid much attention lately. Nathan Rayner has in fact been out the last 3-4 weeks I believe. It going to be a very interesting game of footy on Saturday wit the weather we have had. Make senses resting players. At the same time he was never going to rest heaps. Can't mess with a winning formula.
