With Lockleys getting up by plenty and CLG going down, will Lock's have enough % to sneak back into the 5?

Well done to Lockleys..

Commiserations to CLG, that would be heartbreaking :(

0.59% that is amazing, after 18 rounds it comes down to that!

Cheers Scottroo. It was a cracker of game today from both teams - the 2nd half was very intense as you would expect from 2 good sides.

We have worked very hard in the 2nd half of the year to get to where we are and give ourselves every chance of finishing the season successfully. Looking forward to a big game against Mawson Lakes next week.

To Z and the Col Light boys, cheers for a great finals like hitout today - a very even game that stayed within 15 points or so from start to finish. It was always going to be tough on the teams that finished 6th and 7th this season (winning 10 games) as any of the top 7 were worthy of playing finals footy in such a tight Div.

Good call tosser - that was a classic finals game. What a tough game - that 3rd quarter was amazing - noone could get a clear kick. Tackle after tackle after tackle. i think there is a few sides that are glad we didnt make it. A couple of early losses came back to haunt us. We're proud of our boys and we wil be better next year so watch out! Good luck to the teams in the finals - woody sth V TOS grand final is my tip.

5th to 7th was only seperated by 1.3%

3rd to 7th was only seperated by 1 win and 0.9%

Div 6 has been a very close comp

Like u say Ian has been a very close comp. Feel very sorry for my mate Dutchy who has the units as the best team in the comp at the moment. I know they will improve even more next season. Look forward to finals now.

Firstly, I would like to take the time to thank all of you in div 6 for a great but challenging year. As a club I think that we have made huge inroads, even though at times that hasn't been reflected on the scoreboard, but i do feel the playing group has gone along way in earning back some much needed respect. The introduction of youth has bought some inconstancy to our football, but the benifit will be there in the long run. For me personally, its been great to have met a lot of fantastic football people in this division, and to those people, thank you. We now go down to div 7 to rebuild, and hopefully come back a better, stronger, respected football club.

To the remaining 5 teams, I wish you all the best in your finals campaigns, it's gonna be a cracker, with all teams more than capable on their day.

Once again, thank you all for your hospitality. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

thanks tosser..our boys gave it everything and led for chunks of the game but we couldnt quite get our running game going and your inaccuracy kept us in it..i thought your side were excellent and have a great chance to get promotion..you play good, finals style football and managed to suck up all the contested pressure we could throw at you..

myself and the lads were gutted obviously but no-one gives you a spot in the finals because you deserve one or not..you have to get the wins and i always said i thought 11 was needed and we only got 10..a tough lesson to learn..que sera sera..

well done to Q and rexy getting a win yesterday..they also can lay claim to beating CLG and CU which has in turn shaped the finals..

lockleys and blackfriars you got the wins when it counted..well done..

units terrible unlucky as informer has mentioned..i sent dutchy a message last night saying there were 21 guys at CLG feeling the same way right now..once again..thats footy..but well done on your fine end to the minor round..

to HBF and his boys..good luck for 2013..i have no doubt you will succeed because you have laid the correct foundations at your club..i am sure we will still be in contact throughout this and next year :)

best of luck to the 5 teams going at it now..fwiw i think WS will play TOSFC in the GF..and now im going back to sleep :(

Congrats to Woody South on the minor premiership and to TOS, Lakes and Lockleys on making the finals. As others ahve noted, bad luck in particular to CLG and United on missing out. They were fierce rivals in the last few weeks.

Great work by BOS yesterday to get the much needed win to take a spot in the finals. Played very well yesterday and remained composed as the Lakes through everything at them early. Some fantastic performances on the day from Phoucy, Borters, Brincat, Rivett, Warman and Horsell. The whole group played with great spirit and determination to not let a finals chance slip out of their grasp.

It's going to be a very interesting 4 weeks of finals. Good luck to all.

1. Bartolotti (was beating today but rate him highly and my pick)
2. Wood (Capt. Stands out, Runs all day probably just Evans pulling votes off him)
3. Kennett (Rate him highly but is up against the umpires favourite
4. Skewes (Gun but Harding taking votes late may hurt him)
5. Evans ( Standout in an even side will share votes with Wood in there wins)
6. Stormonth (Eye Cathing wingmen with Dreds)
7. Gannell (Clear stand out in a bottom few side Lynch may take a few off him probably didnt win enough)
8. Gergiou (In and under umpires love them)
9. Horsell ( Give him room he kills you missed a month)
10. Vozey (Big runs from defence has gone forward with succuss)
11. Spurr (Hard runner will poll in there wins)
12. O'Gorman ( will finish higher but IMO shouldn't be top 10)
13. Rayner (Tagged every week)

Not enough games

Harding (but will poll in the ones he played)
Barclay (A rock down back missed 7 with injury)
Davis ( Clear standout missed games and they were poo)
Clifford (Missed a heap)
Lynch (injured)

Seens as tho you did such a great job of the TOFY riddler your thoughts on the medal???

I'll tell you but you won't like it...Rob O'Gorman! He will poll about 4 or 5 BOG's in the first half of the year and possibly pick up 1 or 2's in the other games.

You could seriously throw a blanket over about 6 or 7 I reckon. Wood as a captain would get noticed along with Georgiou. Skewes is always under the umpires nose so will attract a lot of votes you would think but has to compete with the likes of Rayner, Clifford & Harding for votes. If was to put money on a smoky I'd be picking Tim Evans, Georgiou will go very, very close though!

is he #4? if so, i'd say he'd poll well as the umps seemed to look after him yesterday.
he did play well however.

Did both Trinity & Blackfriars put in to host the finals this week? Surely both wouldn't be up to scratch facilities wise to host them?

If they pay for the final it's the clubs issue in regards to charging entry ect. As long if their club does sell beer on tap that they sell Lion Nathan products through them aswell, even that rule may have changed now?

A Member Club that is the highest ranked team in its Division may apply to host a home final or a final on an available neutral oval of their choice, excluding a Grand Final, but must fulfil The League‟s minimum requirements including but not limited to:
1. the ground surface must be in a reasonable condition
2. the change rooms must have reasonable facilities for players, umpires and trainers.
3. there must be reasonable facilities provided for spectators
4. must fulfil The League‟s obligations to its major sponsors
(a) Club must be sponsored by SABC
(b) venue must exclusively supply SABC beers for that event

What is deemed reasonable but? It doesn't say your changerooms must be within 500 metres of the oval or you must have shelter for supporters or reasonable parking ect.
