I was a stander by and seen a AM, a senior coach provoke his players to confront opposition players and spectators at half time and after the game. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

The club must put some reigns on him or send him on his way. Thats my opinion and it wont change so dont try and cover over it saying it is passion because i wont accept it, there is no place for this type of passion, this passion starts riots and oversease in other sporting circles.

Can anyone tell me if he has fronted the committee for anything like this? If not the SAAFL need to watch the club very close. my opinion...

Surely the club will be judged by this clown, he is in a position of authority and if his actions are not how the club wishes to be portrayed then they best do something about it... and with 300 plus juniors and a senior list that looks to have an average age of 20, I would suggest it needs to be done sooner rather than later.

Griffin, did Mitch steal your lollies as a child? You really dont like him do you! Perhaps you should make some time and go and sit with the man and tell him your opinion of him or is it easier to sit here annonoumously and berate him? Or are you one of the ones that was sitting there abusing him and our players from a far enough distance so not to be noticed individually? A good mate of mine who is a very good mate of your coaches told me in his opinion Mitch was only giving back what he was getting. All this makes for fantastic rivelry and nothing more. Its not personal, it is just a game. Move on and look forward to the next time the two sides meet, previous encounters show they are great games!

great work grif.. im still waiting to hear your response to the actions of your players at half time but instead you decide to rip on someones reply rather than give one yourself.. whats that saying?

OP....maybe all actions that occured at half time will be revealed now that SAAFL has decided to hold an "investigaion" into several incidents that occured at Harpers Field on Saturday.... :D :(

I guess time will tell now that Sherlok and Watson are on the case... if either club has a skeleton in the closet it may be exposed

apart from that it is just going to be a case of...he said ...she said :?

the only thing I have noticed is that most GG posters have not denied in posts since saturday that AM did anything wrong... most have just said Greenies started it and defended his actions in the name of passion, exerberence etc etc...I admire your loyalty but IMO it is somewhat misplaced in this instance ;)

Round 13 Tips.

Fitzroy v Adelaide Lutheran by 18 pts Great battles of the last few years between these 2 clubs both desperately need to snap big loosing streaks, wont take each other lightly may end in a draw but Lions at home over the Dogs for me...
Pooraka v Golden Grove by 12 pts Slight hiccup for the Bulls last week bt they want to be right on their game if they want the points over the Kooka's who can sniff finals action...
Unley v Salisbury West by 30 pts Jets are tuff at home but seen the Tigers destroy the Roys last weekend, they still have more quality to come in & are very dangerous...
Greenacres v CBCOC by 24 pts Can the Dragons cause an upset to keep their slim finals hopes alive but the Killer Dolphins should put an end to that dream...
PAOC v North Haven by 6 pts Red's at home would want to cement a finals berth & still chase a Top 3 finish but i think that the Magpies win last week was no fluke & they may just cause the years biggest upset...

Very interesting weekend ahead which will make or break some teams seasons.

About time u all get of the back of bagging the Golden Grove Coach as u can go start a Golden Grove/Greenacres thread or take it up with the bloke personally if u are not too scared to..

Ask the Portland Boys about what happens when people regularly bag your coach on forums as they went on to win the flag & stick it right up them ;)

haha i doubt there will be an outcome but from all i saw neither the GG players or coach provoked any incident that occured at half time

many people on here have said that AM is both passionate and vocal an this was once again on show on saturday in a growing rivalry that has been great in the 5 games we have played in the last 2 years..

i think his actions have been exagerated just a tad

he is known for his banter between the coaches boxes during the game which is often light hearted but with such a fierce rivalry can easily turn into a grudge match as you well know. but dont worry, the playing group is not afraid to tell him when he has over stepped the mark and to shut up.

i look forward to more close encounters, but probably not this year 8) as we are planning to steal that finals berth up for grabs :D

everyone satisfied with this topic?..yep.. ok ;)

..play on

*also i did enjoy your overuse of the smilies, but they had to make way for mine* :D

Just not sure why we should take your opinion on how to deal with OUR club griffin ?? I'm all for everyone having an opinion but don't force your opinion onto us in a matter that reeks of sour grapes from your behalf. I was merely noting that you should deal with issues in your own house before teeing off on other peoples clubs. Or are you saying that your club is squeeky clean ??? From what I have seen I doubt it. But you and your club can do what you like because it is YOUR CLUB and not OUR CLUB. Hence my comments.

To all that dont like my opinion, it really hurts me... but I came to my opinion from what I saw...

A senior coach swearing and arguing with opposition supporters as loud as he could all with children present. Gesturing to a group of women with his hands and voice, telling them "Suck my #$@%". Yelling at opposition players telling them they are all F%$#@&. All this in the view of his young team, and let me add, NOT on the oval, this is in amongst supporters in the carpark between the oval and atco huts.

Call me an old fuddy duddy but I find that unacceptable. Obviously some GG people dont see a problem with it but SAAFL must think it is serious enough.

Please make your own opinion on his actions but I believe a forum is where you can view your thoughts and report on what you see. This is not rumors, I witnessed it. Many posters are happy to report on all sorts of rumors, this is fact.

Please please deny this happened and I will retreat calling you a liar. We all want to protect our club BUT dont lie.

I wont talk about it anymore seeming there is an investigation and please make your own opinion. Yes, I dont like the man, I have watched him handle himself on 5 occasions now as his clubs coach and I am not impressed. No footy club is without idiots and I have seen my fair share at Greenies over the years but never in such an official opinion.

are you afriad that a bunch of 20 year old blokes might start swearing? i would've thought they would be bigger culprits for profain language than someone in there 30's no? maybe the team is rubbing of on the coach too much ;)

as for his actions, like i said, the team are not afraid to tell him when he has crossed the line.. on this occasions the boys expressed there point of view on the matter and he will endeavour to improve his behaviour
