I was having a glass with a mate last night **edited, unnecessary comment**

I asked the above question

Shrekky - please define "soft" for me

Is the "soft" side the one playing on and winning a game whilst the other side are king hitting, kicking young players when they are on the ground etc etc etc

or do you think the other side?

A couple of games come to mind - Salisbury West v PNU and Mile End Cats v PAOC.

Both finals, both "soft" sides won

You won - I cant see the SW name anywhere on any honour board from that year

Should you have gone toe to toe or won the game?

Who was soft?

Give me a broken jaw and Premiership medal every year

How about a broken jaw, fractured cheekbone, 3 concussions (king hit K.O's) and 2 split heads?

Macca would have gone nuts at anyone who retaliated...

Doesn't make you hard because you got a premiership medal and broken bones. Trust me !! Just means that you were in the wrong place at the wrong time... and your team won !!

I think some people are confusing 'soft and hard' with 'disciplined' and 'undisciplined'...

No you didn't FC but it reads that your side were 'disciplined' as opposed to the opponents who were undisciplined. Hard or soft probably didn't ever come into the game...

Soft is not getting hard balls, not putting your body on the line etc. i.e. college football.

Don't try and turn what I have said into a silly definition of soft Jimmy.

i think soft is when your not willing to sheppard, smother, tackle, put your head over the nut when its your turn to go and not willing to make a contest in general when you think you can get hurt.

i.e Nick stevens
