Speaking of which - I just heard a story about a couple of Exeter lads who drank a bottle of bacardi on their way up to SPOC, got into a bit of road rage outside Gerrard Industries, and ended up best & 2nd best for the day

I always found a hangover would give me the subconscious that I couldn't get hurt any worse than I felt

back in the 17's it was quite common to see someone have a can of something on the way to the game or sometimes outside the changerooms!
most of the time it was a can they had found in the car from the night before or there back pack they had that night and they didnt want to waste it!

some of the best games of footy I have ever played I have been so hung over it was ridiculous
I would be running to a contest and could only smell beer!
Im sure my opponent could smell it to, they wouldnt have known what to do, since oncc or twice it was in the under 15's

Back in the good old days when I was still fit and could get a kick, it was quite often that a bottle of port or Green Ginger Wine got passed around at half time on very cold days. Dont know what they would think about that these days. Mind you that was when there was 20 blokes plus coaches huddled up in some change rooms that were smaller than most public dunny's and all but about 4 were having a half time fag! Pre season started 4 weeks before the first game. Ah where have the good old days gone?

You blokes must have been fit. We, once, had a pre-season at my place. The activity was a lap of the swimming pool for anyone under 30 and a lap of the blue seashell pool for anyone over. Breals didn't want to do either so did a bomb in the seashell and smashed it to pieces......

haha I remember passing around a bottle of Port around the changerooms at Para Hills in our early days... I remember the temp only got to 3 degrees that day we played and the Port suddenly become 'friend for all'... Those were the days when we had to go find Chris Munro out behind the sheds at half time to finish the game.... ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

all the smosh lads had a beer after the woody south game. Woody south lads and coach were good. well done woody south footy club for putting on some free beers.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
