Maybe the cricket coach could double as the head waiter, hope he can keep his hair out of the soup.

i dont think its Gaza but there's a thirsty camel next door and a lot of sand around the oval

I reckon that might be a fine shell grit, way to hard on the feet of both camels and donkeys.

Not that I'm aware of, I doubt it as there isn't a lot for them to read (some can't) and the sun hasn't shone on them for a while.

Stimpy
Think you will find the council looked after a few clubs in the area
Paying of their debts etc Gepps and Gaza to name a couple
Rather than open a 5 star restaurant, perhaps the club ( who ever it is ) should put a heap of Pokies in, a Tab, and rip the guts out of the community.
That seems pretty successful for a couple of A1 Clubs

You may wish to repaint your establishment Forward, Dulux are bringing out a new range for summer just for the purpose
Your place could be painted "Envy Green", now that should suit!
Haven't your mob tried that and failed miserably? Oops, sorry, no TAB but with pokies only eh!

well done Ace, just another bullsheet rumour put out there, giving people the chance to slag off at any and every club. if you have any facts put them up or is this going to be another ""which coach is going to be sacked"" story. [and that did not end well for your 'rumour" ]

They do not wear extremely wide glasses, so no it's not Broad View.

Are you having a pop at me for putting forward what I have on good authority is going to happen, moz?

My info is that Kilburn have off loaded their remaining pokies to Clubs SA which will give them an income stream from them and that a 4 star Silver Service restaurant is to be incorporated in their establishment. They will use staff from Regency TAFE to serve as waiters/waitresses. The council closed their kitchen for a time but it has reopened.
If this proves to be incorrect, so be it but that's my information and from a considered, reliable source..
Jimmy picked it early in the piece because he's clever and a couple of others were on the money too, end of story!
The rumour on the coach was proven to be incorrect, so be it, but my info at the time was to the contrary.

No not really but takes away the fun and gets people like our colleague "forward" ultra mobile with his own form of cryptic comments and veiled but dumb statements.
I'd be suggesting that I still have not found a community that's had its 'guts ripped out' by pokies or a TAB facility because gambling is NOT COMPULSORY, it's a choice, be it good or bad.
It is quite possible that the pokies didn't work at Kilburn due to the fact that people will not go there, I wonder if they've thought of that as a reason they didn't work and subsequently got rid of them.
Incidentally, if I didn't know better I'd say that Guts comment is a bit "Shrek like", maybe someone has his problem too!

not having a go Ace, but pissed off that open ended rumours like this one let the likes of Forward to come on and have a shot at clubs for "ripping the guts" out of communities when in fact they contribute a great deal . good junior programmes that get kids involved in sport , good facilities that families can enjoy [ and as you say no one has to play the pokies or TAB ] and i would say that most clubs would subsidise junior players whose families find themselves in tough times. and this would happen in most club if they have gambling facilities or not

Fair enough, if it doesn't happen by this time next year, I'll be the first to offer my apologies. But if it does, I'll expect the same in return.
By the way, I thought my ass was quite cute, have I been mislead by all the chics(pardon the pun) that have been pinching it?
