So can any clubs confirm they will enter a C grade in 2010?

Elizabeth are in, with some great older players committed to having a great year.
The clubs pretty confident on having a really strong side in C5.
Also looking for as many triple headers as possible

You will have to add Golden Grove ,Trinity os or Wingfield royals to C5 list you could put Golden grove in C3 & C4 being the stronger club with numbers if they get in C5 they would be favourites for the flag away.

Our D's were in C5 this year and only finished 4th.....

Good to see John The Rat Platten back at Centrals.
Bad Luck for the Elizabeth C grade who would have been hoping The Rat could pull on the boots for a few games next year.
Like Roo and Mods for PAOC Im sure this lifts all the players to a new level.
As i here his brother Mick is keen to play a few next year.
Well John looks as if he could pull on the boots anytime, lets hope he get some free time and get a game with the boys and Mick.

Spoke to JP the other day, never was an option for him to play again. Neither in our Cs or Over 35s. Im sure Mick P would slot nicely in the forward pocket in the C grade, only during triple headers though im sure. Ol Mick can smell a goal from a mile away! lol

So i guess you play for Elizabeth then what grade you in?.
You seem to know a lot about the club.
I spoke to your new C grade coach the other day and he seem very happy with numbers so far on the track.
He did say he had turned down a change to coach at higher grade as he had already Committed to coach your C5 side this year.
He said this will be his 17th year as a coach at Seniors or Junior level and he's only miss the finals twice in all those years.
So he said he will be looking at playing finals again with this team. What do you think will you make the finals?

Yeah been around the club since late 90s when i started playin football. I know Mick Platten well coz he was my 1st senior coach and i worked with him when i was at Uni. I know the team we will have in C5 and itll be a cracker good mix of younger and older experienced players. Will make finals for sure. I am officially retired but want to have a good fun year of C grade and hopefully a medallion at the end of it. dont know much about M. Box cept that he went for A or B grade and was happy to accept C grade, from Angle vale i believe

How are all the C5 sides shaping up this early? Anyone booked any trial games just for their C grade?

Yeah Duncas spoke to your C grade coach Boxman the other day.He said you guys would be playing few trail games but wouldnt give to much away.Just it would be all C grade games before A's & B's. So sound as if u guys are set for the season ahead. So your better off than we are at present moment was hoping to play you guys as its hard to get any any lower grade games off the ground.
Maybe i can forward on for you that you are keen to play back pocket. (just joking mate)

We're looking ok early, duncs. A few old heads returning, plus plenty of kids coming through the ranks. Looking forward to a good year and some exciting triple headers which will be good for all clubs that get involved. Looks like Smithfield and Blackfriars will be missing out this year. Smithfield probably could have had a C grade if they weren't losing so many to Central United...

Thats a shame, Would have been good to have the full set of Third teams in one grade.

i reckon it will be a interesting year in C5.... more triple headers the better... i reckon Hope Valley and Lutherans will be the teams to beat imho.... going on what i saw last year...

It generally doesn't interest us, I must say, having all games at the same ground on the same day does make it a little more inviting, nevertheless, not high on our agenda.

We've nominated for C5 - will be a good mix of older and younger players - hopefully we can get some C & D Grade double headers going

I think you will find that they would be in C3 and possibly C5 or C6. Why does it matter if a side has thier D grade in C5? We did last year and now we seem to be bundled into C6?

Would make sense for our c's will be in C3 and D's in 5 or 6. C's gone back to back in C4, so boys are looking forward to a new challenge.

The thing with C5 is that 8 teams in Div 5 have nominated a C Grade so this will probably allow for a D Grade Div 6 comp
