Question for you EM.

Say a player has played 7 games in the As, 8 games in the Bs and plays the last round in the Cs. The C grade team of the club is the only team to qualify for finals, is he eligible to play C grade finals?

No. He's played 1/16 in the Cs. Not quite over 50%.

What happens then if he does play in that team and they win, can the game get taken off them?

Yes as he won't have a permit to play

Another question for you EM as you are no doubt the "Oracle" we all look up to and respect. If a player played A grade for the first half of the season but missed a week (injury, unavailabilty etc) and then plays C grade a fortnight later does this not contravene SAAFL rules about not able to drop two grades or because he missed a week it is within the rules?

There is no rule that says you must drop consecutive grades during the minor round in the rules & regs

Many examples have been sides that have played triple headers, an A Grade player from the week before may have a wedding the following week and can play at 10:15 and consequently plays C Grade - within the rules to do so

The follwoing probably anwers it though - as if your A Grade was to play on a Friday night then under the following rule the entire A Grade could play again in any grade on the Saturday - why you would do it would be a different conversation

22.32 In the case of a Member Club which has more than one team playing in The League, all registered players of such Member Club shall except as is otherwise provided by The League Rules and Regulations be eligible to play for any team of that Member Club in the same round.

Thanks EM but I am a little confused with the meaning of "follwoing" is that from Payney's dictionary?
