I used to work with a Goodwood C-grade regular and those blokes on the whole weren't training twice a week. It was pretty casual for him.

is there a ruling that says a player cannot be dropped from a bgrade to a dgrade in one week?

B graders who get dropped go to the c grade. All our coaches exchange prospective teams during the week before final selection on Thursday at which all coaches attend and work out final teams. I'd assume all clubs do that though.

but we still are yet to establish which one is the cgrade ;) d7 or c1

Div 7 is the c grade, don't worry Marbles, you'll be playing our d grade...

I hope come finals time that also is the case and your bgraders aren't dropped to c1 suddenly if the div7s are no chance of finals :)

Confusious say Adelaide uni defeat Houghton week 3 2015 finals.... Adelaide uni dgrade or Adelaide uni cgrade

One can only wonder what players came from where cos they sure weren't the same bunny rabbits that played div 7 mid season

If they come up from c1 into div 7, this is perfectly acceptable and Houghton would be pretty confident in accounting for them. And I'm pretty certain our c grade will be playing deep into finals.
League rules permit players to play below provided all sides in between are in the finals provided they haven't played the week before (I believe).

i think your C1 and div 7 teams are like 2 captains in the school yard...

captain 1 chooses the best player

captain 2 chooses the 2nd best player

and so on and so on. therefore the best 18 players are split between 2 sides

BUT come finals time the best 18 are in the one side!! and thats why uni made the div 7 grand final last year when they could barely win a game throughout the season :)

and its because of this that they strangely managed to beat Houghton in the 2014 semi final

which is also why Uni Div 7 vs Uni C1 would be a very close contest right now :)

Nice try but wrong. The div 7 side played in a gf last year against Smithfield straight after the c1 side played Goodwood. Both played with essentially the same 20 odd who had played in those grades most of the year.

Yep, I had a good look at the D7 side and there wasn't anything untoward about the selections at all.

well what a thrilling start to the season, after 5 rounds the top 5 sides are all sitting on 4 wins & 1 loss

http://www.foxsportspulse.com/comp_info.cgi?c=1-114-0-336322-0&pool=1&a=LADDER

an amazing situation and C1 is certainly rolling out to be the most exciting division across the C9AFL so far

*Evidently Adelaide Uni won with a kick on the siren, but sustained a serious injury to the 2014 C1 Medalist #6 Callum Rohde. It may be interesting to hear a report/run down from that game.
*SHOC were a different team back at Home after being smashed by the Blacks last week. This week on their Main Oval the young College Boys dominated Goodwood Saints for 4 quarters, running out deserved 39 point winners. Personally I think SHOC have a real asset with their "Big Man" in the middle.
*ROCS kept in touch with the 5, with a comfortable win over Districts.
*Athelstone continue to win and very comfortably on Saturday, "Raggies" are the Real Deal!
*It would be interesting to hear about the Henley v SPOC match a lot closer than many would have expected.

From speaking to the C graders - Uni were on top for the first half but when our guys went man on man we kicked 6 goals in the 3rd quarter and the first in the last. The final quarter became an arm-wrestle with neither side being able to get hold of the game. Uni kicked the last two goals of the game with the last one being 30 secs before the siren. The boys were pretty devastated that they couldn't hold on to the win but the game is a big improvement from 3 of the first 4 games. If the A and B graders stop getting injured it'd be nice, for all grades

Sounds like a good game, would have been fun in the Muddle at Walkerville, trying to get control of that game.

The cricket pitches were pretty muddy, the rest of the oval was in good nick.

Not sure what it is about Walkerville but they match up well on this version of the Blacks; the last three games has seen a draw, and under a goal win to either side. They certainly had better cattle than earlier in the season. We probably took it a bit easy and I know we can play better and they've a few forwards that are difficult in any one on one contest. Walkerville at Walkerville will not be easy.
Rohdey got run through as he was beginning to take off for a lead, blindsided is probably the best description. The guy certainly meant to knock him over but I doubt he meant to break his jaw.
I think this week will see all five sides go to 5 and 1 and those upcoming clashes between the top 5 will go all over the place depending on where the games are played as much as anything.
That's on top of our bog in the first two games tearing his hamstring off the bone and a few broken bones. Sometimes footy sucks.

its amazing the way the ladder stands (top 5 all on 4 wins) and now this week the top 5 play the bottom 5

1st raggies vs 7th spoc
2nd henley vs rocs 6th
3rd uni vs broadview 9th
4th shocs vs 10th
5th goodwood vs walkerville 8th

no further uncanny pattern there but worth a look

Genuinely sad to hear about Callum Rohde, quality opponent on the field and I understand a very nice guy off the field. Yeah injuries suck!
I hope it doesn't stop him returning to footy and his recovery is straight forward - we want see him out there again soon.
