i'm from mildura. good place.

bout the netty trip girls. i know theres a netball carnival on there, it's called the "spring carnival", so i guess if you organised and researched your trip, you could make it the weekend that theres a couple extra hundred chicks in the town.

See a couple of lads talking about the old jail backpackers accommodation down in Gambier. Its no good! My best tip would be find a nice Mt Gambier girl and use her bed for the weekend. It will be a hell of a lot warmer

It's on the Friday night.
Tickets about $90.
Not sold out - big oval.

Part of a 30 odd stop Great Divide Tour, they're visiting cities and regional areas across the nation. I think they're using the gigs as a bit of a platform to promote reconciliation as well.

A Nice Mt. Gambier girl??? Is there such a thing? I've been on a few footy trips there and agree it wasn't overly difficult to find a girl willing to offer their hospitality (even for the ruckmen) although I cant say we saw too many that were a good sort... good luck lads!

We go to Gambier cos we have a good relationship with the pub we stay at, they keep the bar open for us, etc.
Also there is only a few night spots around which keeps everyone together pretty much.
We considered going to another capital city eg Melb but decided its too hard to keep track of everyone and we like to treat it like a bonding session rather than anything else
